NSC is proud to feature Nguyen Tran as a 2024 graduate profile. Nguyen's passion for the health information management field was nurtured during her time as a medical assistant in secondary and high school. Helping her mother, a dedicated doctor, with tasks such as preparing medicine and informing patients about their medications, Nguyen realized how time-consuming it was for her mother to gather patients' medical histories. This experience sparked her desire to create a medical record system to help her mother in the charity work she has been committed to for almost a decade.
Now, Nguyen has graduated with her Associate of Arts DTA degree and will pursue a Bachelor of Health Information Management degree at the University of Washington.
"I am incredibly grateful for the support I've received from my friends, family, and the NSC community. Their encouragement and guidance have been instrumental in my journey, and I look forward to using what I've learned to make a positive impact in the field of health information management."
Congratulations Nguyen from all of us at North! Full story at: bit.ly/nsc-nguyen-tran. 🎓

Congrats to our NSC students who recently earned their Level 1 certifications from the National Association of Rocketry at a launch near White Swan, Wash., in April. These students built, launched and recovered their high-power rockets, all of which reached about 3,000 feet (about twice the height of the Empire State Building). The rockets had to not only launch cleanly off the launch pad, but also had to release a parachute and drift slowly to the ground for recovery. Full story at: bit.ly/nsc-level1certs.
