I am excited to be leading a group from our school community on an educational trip to LONDON! Selected students will get to explore this vibrant city and experience London’s theater scene first-hand as we spend a week here in the summer of 2024.

Callback list is out. Thank you to ALL who auditioned. You all did so well! Callbacks are scheduled Wednesday,September 7, @ 4:30 pm, in the lecture hall. Tech interviews will be after school on September 14.

Caddo Magnet High, along with many CPSB sites, will be closed tomorrow, Thursday September 1 due to a citywide boil water advisory that was issued by the City of Shreveport this evening. The boil water advisory impacts schools’ ability to provide drinking water and water for cooking on campus.

Please follow the guidelines recommended by the City of Shreveport: It is recommended that water be disinfected before consuming it, making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one-minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle or pouring it from one clean container to another)

Come out to El Cabo Verde (1023 Provenance Place) tomorrow (Wednesday August 31) to support Magnet's soccer teams! 15% of sales will go to our soccer program. Have a delicious meal and support our Mustangs!

Attention, class of 2023! Come to the Magnet library tomorrow (Saturday, August 27) from 10am-12pm for a free College Essay Writing Workshop! No matter where you are in the process, there will be someone who can help. Please try and attend!

Magnet English teachers will be at the workshop to introduce the college essay, talk about what colleges look for, help you brainstorm ideas, and assist with getting started in the college essay writing process.

There will be a followup session on September 17 to go over wrapping up the essay, editing, and proofreading.

We need helpers to set up, decorate, clean up, lead tours, help out with funtivities, and more. Set a reminder so you can get a volunteer spot!
