Midway Elementary Professional Development School

We are kicking off our Summer Food Service Program! Starting Monday, June 5th free breakfast and lunch will be served to children at 34 school sites. Visit caddoschools.org for locations and times!

Our families showed all the way out for tonight’s sneaker ball! You think they’re something now; wait ‘til they’re middle and high school students! These folks are one of the many reasons !

Thanks to Coach Cooper and the Booker T. Washington HS - Shreveport football team and brothers of the DeltaSigma1952 of Alpha Phi Alpha for their service during our field day today.

Congratulations to our very own, Mrs, Mable Woolen, who was named the Northwest Louisiana Foster Grandparent of the Year.

We so appreciate the work that Mrs. Woolen does and the service she provides to our campus.

Congratulations to Romelio Aguon, who was awarded the “It Pays to be Kind” award by Red River United. He represented Midway among all of the schools in Caddo Parish Schools.

Congratulations, Kiersten Taylor! She was named Midways 2022-2023 Most Improved Student. She represented Midway at the Caddo Parish Schools recognition ceremony, sponsored by Red River United.

Today was an awesome day! Our ZEARN/AR/Core5 honorees received a crawfish boil for their hardwork! Now on to testing!

What a way to usher in spring LEAP testing! Our campus was on 🔥this afternoon as our 3rd-5th grade students were encouraged to “Don’t Stress, Pass the Test”!

Thank you to our MC, Brittina Tina B Bethune, for setting the atmosphere; the Woodlawn Leadership Academy drum line and cheerleaders for rousing our school spirit; and our Pre-K -2nd grade students for their banners and special notes!

Shout-out to fourth grade for bringing home the spirit stick.

Today we received our designation and banner from the Louisiana Department of Education as a comeback campus, which recognizes schools for the amount of growth of students who moved from unsatisfactory to proficient! Many thanks to our students, faculty & staff, and families who helped us realize the tremendous growth from last year.
