Community Support Programs began its work in 1990 with homeless men and women in Northwest Louisiana. Community Support Programs, Inc.

exists to serve the client/family in need and to enhance each person's opportunity to live successfully in the community. Through the provision of safe, decent housing that is affordable for low-income persons, CSP provides advocacy, direct and indirect service, and coordination with other social service providers. The Housing Authority of Bossier City (HABC) will accept Public Housing applications for 3- bedroom units beginning at 8:00 a.m., CST, Friday, April 26, 2024, and closing at 5:00 p.m., CST, Friday, May 10, 2024

Applications from families will be accepted and added to the Public Housing waiting list. Online applications can be submitted at https://thehabc.org

no paper applications will be available.

Assistance to complete the application process, due to a disability, will be provided by telephone at 318.698.3636 or 319.698.3632. If assistance cannot be completed by telephone, then an appointment can be scheduled between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Applications will be ranked by the HABC based on the date and time the electronic information is entered and a confirmation number is received by the applicant.

Applicants will need the following items in order to complete the application:

· A valid email address

· Names, social security numbers, and date of birth for all household members included on the application.

· A valid mailing address at the time of application

· Total household income

· Pen and paper to write down confirmation number.

Applicants are responsible for keeping their address updated in the Applicant Portal. The Applicant Portal can be accessed at https://thehabc.org - the Applicant Portal can only be accessed by applicants who have submitted an application. HABC is not responsible for undeliverable mail.

My Community Cares (MCC) is holding a “Parent’s Night Out” on Thursday, May 2nd from 5:00 PM-6:30 pm at AB Palmer Community Center. They welcome you to join as they eat, mingle, and discuss being parents! In addition to good food and company, they will have 2 door prizes: a $50 gift card and a laundry gift basket.
