Comfort food time! When you’re looking for a comforting, hearty meal, nothing beats the crock pot chuck roast. It’s easy to make, offers plenty of variations, fills you up and gives you days of left overs.
We've had several weeks of illnesses going through out household, and now that we're all all the mend, we're reaching for the comforting recipes to help feed our inner child. Pot roast was a staple in my household growing up, so here is a take on my classic family recipe.
Recipe on my blog: https://blog.trainerapril.net/recipes/recipes-beef/crock-pot-chuck-roast/
Quick reference facts:
Ingredients:
1 beef chuck roast – the larger the roast, the longer the cooking time.
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup + 2 can of water
baby carrots at least 1lb bag
stalk of celery – chopped
1 sweet onion
2lbs red potatoes
salt and pepper
Directions:
Combine soup and water in crock pot. Add half of carrots, celery and onions.
Pat chuck roast dry with paper towels and season all sides with salt and pepper liberally.
Nestle roast into crock pot. Add remaining carrots, celery, onions and potatoes over roast.
Cover crock pot, set to low, and cook until meat is tender, at least 6 hours.
I don't have a picture of this recipe because every time I make it I end up loving it so much I forget to take a picture before I start eating it! But with the Big Game coming up I wanted to share this fan favorite recipe of mine.
Recipe: Crock Pot Homemade BBQ Sauce with Smokies or Hot Dogs.
I like to use Tetons polish dogs and beef dogs cut into bite sized pieces but, you can use your favorite choice too! You combine all ingredients and set the crock pot to low, easy as that. Highly recommended dish to share.
Enjoy!

What a year 2021 was. It was filled with unexpected adventures, emotional rollercoasters and so many moments to be thankful for.
My biggest take away from 2021 was to let go of those that don't lift me up. I've grown a new strength this year to be selfish with my happiness and protect what brings me comfort and real joy. I have had to say no to people and things that will be emotionally draining - and that is hard to do. I am thankful for the inner circle of friendships and love that has developed from 2021 and am excited to see what I will further discover in 2022.
Thank you for wanting to be part of this crazy life and thank you for lifting not only me up but those around you 💚
2022 I want to continue to grow my business, do more activities for enjoyment - reading, cross-stitching, hiking, meditating/yoga/exercise - work on our property, be around friends and family more, slow down at times and do things that makes me smile. Here's to you 2022 🥳🥂
📣📣 I have been reflecting on this past year and the content released and how helpful it has been to everyone. What content do you find most helpful, interesting or just plain ol' want to see more of? Please leave a comment or DM me with what you have found most helpful.
Looking forward to positive growth and accomplishments in 2022 🤟🥳

Gratitude is one of the healthiest emotions to express. It can shift your perspective and your mindset. The more we work on expressing it the more we will attract it. In a world of consumerism, try to pause, step back and look around. There is so much beauty around you, take a second to give it thanks 🧡
Thank you!!!!😘🤟
🧡 I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with friends and family! 🦃🍗
