Hey Facebook World!
It has been a while but we are back for another segment of "a word about behavioral health". We created these segments as a way to increase community awareness of Behavioral Health issues and hopefully start a conversation with our community members.
This time we are looking at the word Syndrome.
The definition of syndrome is a collection of symptoms that consistently occur together. For example, Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome - A collection of withdrawal symptoms occurring after initial withdrawals from substance use. Another example would be Down Syndrome or Klinefelter Syndrome.
Beyond Behavioral Health is here to help. You don't have to face life and its challenges alone. Our team has such a broad range of expertise, we know we can find the right fit for you! Join us in going Beyond!
AMAZING NEWS Facebook! We have begun scheduling for adolescents and children. Our newest addition to the team specializes in children of ALL ages and her first batch of insurance credentialing has completed. If you have Premera, Lifewise, Asuris or Blue Cross, we can get your family members the help they need. We have 15 total appointments available for her caseload.
Don't wait, call today and join us in going beyond.

Todays word - Self-Esteem
Self esteem is an individuals perspective of their current worth or value. In other words, how you feel about yourself at any given moment. In psychology a positive self esteem is linked to confidence, healthy brain activity and a healthy self image. A person can often feel undervalued or worthless making it more difficult to make pro-social decisions and can lead to such disorders as Agoraphobia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Major Depressive Disorder. If you have been suffering from low self esteem, we can help. You are not alone and you are not "stuck like this forever" give us a call, let us help you overcome your challenges and make your triumphant return.
Drop a comment and help start a conversation and as always, we are here for you when you need us.
Hi Friends!

Amoma Clinic helps take care of all of our patient's medication needs and can also see them as a Primary Care Provider. Here at Beyond, we do it all. Today marks the 5th post in our "Word About Behavioral Health" series. These posts are aimed towards engaging our community and increasing awareness of mental health and addiction issues. We hope to spark a conversation about these serious issues and make our community better in the process.
Todays word - Paresthesia
Paresthesia is when you feel sensations on our skin that do not have a physical cause. One of the most commonly known forms of this issue is called Formication, which is the feeling of bugs crawling on the skin, when there is no bugs. It is a form of delusional parasitosis. Now, this is all a lot of different ways to say; crawling, itching skin. The reason that it is todays word is because it is a very common side effect of the habitual use of stimulants, most notably, Methamphetamines. Heavy users of Methamphetamine can suffer from many different types of delusions, this one in particular has a secondary negative effect in the form of pick marks, scratches, and scars from attempting to "dig out" the parasites.
Addiction is never a pretty sight and we want to do what we can to help. Stay safe Facebook world and like always - remember we are here for you.
