It was just 1 week ago today we were all gathered for Infusing with Love 2024 and we are still basking in the glow of such a special event. We'd like to take this moment to thank just some of the people involved in making it such a success. .spokane Bill and Elizabeth Boss,
Special thanks to our Event Committee including our Board Chair we are lucky to have someone so involved and passionate about our mission.
Finally this was our first year with an auctioneer , who we can all agree knocked it out of the park.
To the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene community, 7 years ago we opened our doors with a mission to change healthcare. Today thousands of people have been served and over $700,000 of free care provided. Without you there is no us, Thank you!

Some infusions are shorter and take an hour or so, some can take up to 6 hours. What do you do during a longer infusion you may ask? Well on this day Whitney and Laurie baked banana bread. A fun way to bond and pass the time together.

Lots of All Heart Baby visits last week. Ariadne and her mom (an HG survivor) stopped by for a check in. and our newest addition Alice stopped by with her mom and dad for a quick hello. Every time we get the honor of caring for these strong moms is a true blessing. Thank you for helping provide their care.

On this we are so happy to share another All Heart baby! Ariadne is healthy and happy, her Mom is now an HG survivor. Her Mom was very sick throughout pregnancy and required visits at home to provide the necessary care. Thank you for helping us care for this family!

Sometimes we have a patients who require more than one type of medicine to be infused. To save time and make it easier for our patient, with a needle phobia, we put in 2 peripheral IVs at the exact same time. Creativity is the key to a successful infusion.

Maximus as a newborn and now (2 months old). His Mama has POTS (which can cause fast heartbeat, dizziness and fatigue among other symptoms) and also suffered from Hyperemesis while pregnant, she required IV hydration throughout her pregnancy. We are happy to report that Mom and Maximus are both doing well.

Our Story
Written by our founder's daughter Kalli Wedlake:
I am happy to share this story as I have been able to watch it unfold throughout my life. My mom is a nurse, its not just what she does for a living but its a large part of who she is as a person. Her healing heart can be felt by everyone around and the excitement she gets in her soul when she sees a child is palpable to everyone in the room. As her daughter I received the opportunity to connect with many of my mom's patients as she worked to help and heal them but it wasn't until Sheldon came into the picture that I saw just how much of her heart she gives to her patients.
When Renae was in nursing school she was told by one of her instructors that she absolutely could not become connected to her patients, she was just there to do her job and leave, nursing is not about feeling for your patients. She listened to what the instructor said like the good student she was however she then turned around and said to herself, "nope, I will put my heart into each and every patient I touch"... And that is exactly what she has done and continues to do.
Her first patient out of nursing school was a premature baby born with major heart defect. The doctors said he wouldn't live past his first few days but she didn't give up, then a wonderful couple came in looking to adopt this little boy. They questioned if they could handle the challenges that come with raising a child with these kind of complications but she was there reassuring them and explaining everything to them every step of the process. Now 30+ years later that little boy is still living and his adoptive parents continue their friendship with my mom and the rest of our family. We can't imagine what life would be like if she hadn't taken the time to build that relationship and provide that support.
