Shouting it out from the treetops!
We're trying something new, creating a group associated with the Foothills Rural Association page. Hopefully this will allow Foothills neighbors to make neighborhood posts directly rather than needing to have an admin for FRA post on your behalf. Please keep content local to the neighborhood!

Scenes of apple picking in the Foothills from the historical collection. See the related post on the Lost Apple Project if you have some old trees on your property!
The Foothills used to be know for its apples (and cabbages!): does anyone have an unusual & delicious old tree in their yard?
If you have old apple trees in Washington, Idaho, or Oregon, we want your apples! We look for apple trees planted prior to 1920 and the older the better. If you mail us your apples we will try to identify what varieties you send us. Send an email to [email protected] or [email protected] and we can send you instructions on picking and mailing the apples. Thank you!
Missing kitty from near the east end of Lincoln Road. Has anyone seen Bubbles?
Late Thursday night (9/14) someone in a truck pulling a trailer drove east up Brevier Road, turned north on Adams, then continued up at least Forker past Moffat leaving a trail of discarded tires in their wake (last tire spotted against the guardrail just north of Moffat). A neighbor's security camera caught them at 10:26pm, although without enough detail for a license plate. There was a person on the trailer tossing tires as the truck driver traveled up the road. There are over 30 tires counted so far. Did anyone happen to see anything last night? Or are there additional tires in other parts of the neighborhood? Everything on Brevier & Adams has been reported to Crime Check at this time.
This is just good practice anytime. Did you catch the "Dark Sky Report" reprint in the spring issue of the newsletter? https://www.ruralspokane.com/newsletters/2023/
