We are honored to announce a special, one-night-only encore performance of Stage Left Theater's production of "Pass Over" at The SFCC Spartan Theatre. This critically acclaimed play, directed by Malcolm Pelles, will grace the stage on Thursday, April 4th, with doors opening at 7:00 PM and the performance commencing at 7:30 PM.
"Pass Over" presents the poignant tale of Moses (portrayed by Dahveed Bullis) and Kitch (played by Matt Slater), who navigate the challenges of their existence with dreams of a better tomorrow. The sudden appearance of Mister (Danny Anderson) introduces an intriguing dynamic, propelling the narrative into a profound exploration of hope, friendship, and the human spirit.
Crafted by playwright Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu, this production not only offers humor and depth but stands as a compelling commentary on the cyclical nature of hope and despair in the quest for liberation. In a deeply meaningful alignment with the anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., this production is a must-see for those who appreciate the transformative power of theatre in continuing the dialogue on equity, justice, and the collective human experience.
This performance is brought to you with the generous support of the Spokane Falls Community College Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, with all proceeds benefiting the Black Student Union’s vital work on campus.
Please be advised: The performance incorporates simulated gunfire, flashing lights, loud noises, and language intended to provoke thought and reflection. Viewer discretion is advised.
This unique event not only promises an evening of exceptional theatre but also serves as an opportunity to engage with art that challenges, reflects, and honors the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy. It is a testament to the power of art to foster understanding, empathy, and transformative change.

The Children's Literature Association named this "the best American children's book of the past two hundred years," and Joseph Robinette, working with the advice of E.B. White, has created a play that captures this work in a thrilling and utterly practical theatrical presentation. The costumes and unit set may be simple or as colorful and elaborate as you wish; it's the story and relationships that make the show. All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship and love.
