Update from Haiti: So many have asked how our school is doing in the midst of the chaos they see on the news about Haiti. We are still open and ministering to the children daily. Our director sent these photos taken this week of each class of children. They are doing well.

But warriors, continue to pray for this country - God rescue them, You are their refuge and hope.

Love this story about Joy and how Grace Giving International has helped her through school including college! Join us in helping others like Joy! Email me at [email protected].

Meet Joy! Brilliant 20 year old who likes being called ‘doctor Joy’. The unfortunate death of her father left her mother devastated so she and her sister had to go live with a well wisher in the village. Her mother has never been well since then and is unable to work (medical reasons). Few months later they were unable to go to school, “we prayed so we could be able to go back to school” Joy says. A couple took both sisters into their home and they were able to go to Fountain of Hope school in 2013, through their story they were able to get sponsored in 2014. While they were assured of an education, the guardians took care of the other needs which was an answered prayer. Joy accepted Christ during the school chapel session, she has served as a worship team member and scripture union vice chairperson during her school time. She loves singing, listening to music and reading books( currently reading “purpose driven life”). Last year, she finished high school took her national test and passed well. She will be joining pre-medical school this August and is excited to start her journey of being a surgeon and giving back to the community. “I am grateful for the opportunity to be groomed spiritually and academically towards a brighter future, and thank you to my sponsors for holding onto this long journey of my education” Joy says smiling brightly. At a young age she has always been very ambitious and focused on her goals. We can’t fail to say we are proud of her and who she is becoming. Glory to God

Hot, cold, or luke warm?
In Revelation, Jesus rebukes the church in Laodicea stating they are neither hot nor cold. He wishes they were either hot, like the healing hot springs north of the city or cold and refreshing like the pools to the east. But since they neither heal nor refresh but are luke warm, he will spit them out of his mouth! The visualization is meant to grab your attention.
Laodicea was successful but blinded to their spiritual emptiness. Jesus advises them to buy from him the riches that last for eternity to hide your nakedness and give you sight to see the truth. He ends by stating he is at the door and knocking and waiting to come inside as a friend and share a meal. He's saying this to the church. I wonder why he isn't already inside? I can relate to Laodicea and pray that I hear the knocking and let Jesus in.
Hope this message opens your eyes, refreshes your spirit to accept the healing of Jesus and open your door. Join me this summer in Uganda on our short term mission trip as we try our best to be hot and cold!
John

Another great story of a young life changed through our GGI sponsorship program! Join us to help more children like Sharom and come with us to Uganda this summer for our two week mission trip! Email John for more info at: [email protected].

Meet Sharom! She is 6 years old in pre-school. She lives with her mother and 3 other siblings, one of which is at Fountain of Hope. Sharom comes from a moslem family with separated parents. Sharom’s mother was left alone to raise 4 children. She later accepted Christ and miracles started happening . A Kind neighbor helps support the family while Sharom got a sponsor in 2023. She is a joyful soul and loves to sing and dance. She loves school and is very friendly.
God has helped us at Fountain of Hope schools to preach the gospel through giving education to the less privileged in this community. Join us to preach and disciple these children through donations and sponsorships.

Another great sponsorship story! Please join our sponsorship program and help change a life in Uganda in 2024!

Meet Joyce! She joined Fountain as a kindergartner and now in her last year of primary school. Her parents are Christians, by the time I sat down to talk to her she thought she was a Christian too. Joyce gave her life to Christ that day. I had to share with her about how salvation comes about. Am thankful how this school helps make disciples.
From an extremely poor home, Joyce gets a good education, enjoys a good meal and has fun with friends at Fountain of Hope school. She wants to be a doctor in the future because she thinks health care is not enough for the underprivileged. “I was deeply hurt when my baby sister didn’t receive treatment while she was sick”, she says.
Joyce looks forward to sitting for her primary leaving examinations and walking life in Christ.

Check out Wliberforce! A great story of the positive change our sponsorship program can make.

Meet Wilberforce! A resilient ministry lover. He is 19 years old. Wilberforce joined Fountain of Hope while in kindergatten back in 2009. He was born by teenage parents who neglected him from birth. With an unknown father, his grandmother rescued him at 4 years and brought him to live with her. By God’s grace he joined Fountain of Hope and got sponsored. Wilberforce recently sat for his national Ordinary level exams and awaits results as he plans to continue with school. He wants to be a telecom engineer. He received christ in 2011 at True Worship Church Bukeeka where he has served since, “I was rescued by his grace and i can never give an excuse not to serve Jesus!” He says. Please pray for Wilberforce as he advances more in ministry and education.
More like him need to be rescued and more need Christ. Consider praying for this ministry and for all the students as you sponsor this work. Visit Grace Giving International to start.

Meet Jedida! Another wonderful young lady and student in our sponsorship program!

Meet Jedida, Shes a young, jolly and brilliant young lady. She is from a large family, with 7 other siblings. Circumstances led them to Jinja where both parents lost their jobs, time came and they had to take the children back to school. This was a hard task as they had no source of income to keep them in school. “My prayers had been answered when the headmaster told me a nice person volunteered to pay for my school, i love to pray and I pray for my sponsor everyday”, She says. Jedida sat for her national Primary leaving exams and awaits results to continue. God has been good to the family and blessed them through Fountain Of Hope Uganda and Grace Giving International.
God bless you as you consider blessing one of these children.

Faithful partners, read below to see most recent update from our pastor in Congo. And if you would like to support their efforts to finish building these churches, click here https://donorbox.org/support-church-construction and select Church in Congo in the drop down box.

Dear Friends:
Thank you for your continuing support to orphans and widows.

Thanks for your prayers to my family and ministry. I know through you God is doing amazing things in here. By God's grace and in God's way, I trust:

Shared and attached photos are for:
1.Betesaida Church/ Pascal standing at front door.
2.Makedonia Church in construction.

These two are Bethany Church branches in GOMA that am overseeing . I need your prayers and support/ advocating for this evangelistic and planting Church effort. Church members are doing their best to build but poverty made so limited our capacity to finish these two buildings.

I hope through you ,we can get some more iron sheets.

Blessings to you. Your contribution in the ministry here is always great. You accomplish more than you can imagine. God bless you and continue to bless you.

Are you sponsoring a child through Grace Giving International? Do you ever wonder if it is really making a difference? Well, one of our students in Haiti, Poidensky, would like to tell you how it does!

I am Poidensky Joseph, student of 8th grade at Institution la Ruche de Jacmel (IRJ). I attend school for 8 years at IRJ thanks to sponsors. I appreciate that we have competent and qualified teachers at school. It helps me to learn better and grow.
At IRJ, people are sensitive to the future of young people and give us several ways to succeed. I am very proud to attend this school because not only it gives us instruction, education, and support, but also it gives us the chance to take professional courses at summer camps, for example: How to make backpacks, music, screen printing. Thanks to IRJ, I can earn money in screen printing.

Thanks to my Grace Giving Sponsor!

School construction in Haiti continues! As you know, we purchased land a few years ago and have been building a classroom at a time as we can fund it. Several temporary out buildings are constructed to hold class in while we raise money and build.

This month we have received a matching funds opportunity from a generous donor! Every dollar raised up to $5,000 will be doubled! This would allow us to send $10,000 to build more classrooms! Will you join us in this dollar for dollar effort?

Go to https://donorbox.org/support-school-construction and specify Haiti "matching school funds" when donating.

Father in Heaven, take this money and multiply it and let it be used for your kingdom's work! Amen

As the school year in Haiti begins, please keep Jacque and Ismaelite Altidore in your prayers.

They are the warriors working hard on the frontlines every day. Ismaelite is our school principal and ministry director, Jacque is an instructor at our school and works hard behind the scenes as well.

They house many children in need, sacrifice daily, and have a true heart for serving The Lord. Let's pray specifically that God would bless them with good health and endless energy to continue serving Him on the frontlines.

More pictures from our students that attended our summer camp in Haiti. Our older students were able to learn trades/skills that will help them gain employment while finishing their studies, this will help with their quality of life.

They were taught motorcycle repair, sewing, and so much more. The smiles on their faces show you how much they appreciate the opportunity you have given them.

This summer camp was made possible by all of our donors! Thank you so very much!

09/02/2021

We are happy to announce that we have completed another successful summer camp in Haiti.

Thank you donors for making this possible! Giving these children an education helps give them an opportunity for a better life. We couldn't do any of this without you!

Haiti update:

What didn't make the news - Tropical Storm Grace.

Thankfully, our ministry partners in Jacmel were not hurt by the recent hurricane, but they were affected by Tropical Storm Grace. As you can see from the photos, our school sustained damage and flooding. We are quickly trying to get damage repaired in time for students to start school September 4th! We are in need of $2,300 to make this happen!

If you would like to donate, please visit https://donorbox.org/support-school-construction and specify Haiti Storm Grace Relief in the comments.

We thank all of you for your continued support!
