So far we have delivered toy bins to Shaw Middle School, Garry Middle School, On Track Academy, Cooper Elementary School, Logan Elementary, Lidgerwood Elementary School, Stevens Elementary, Bemiss Elementary, Regal Elementary, and Spokane Head Start Northeast Community Center.

We do collaboration differently. Our partnerships are powerful 💪🏽 Here’s a great example of spreading funding in THEZONE to community-based organizations reaching all our neighbors in Northeast Spokane.

We were excited to partner with Manzanita House for this session’s Digital Literacy classes at the Northeast Community Center. We’ve just finished up with an amazing group of graduates who received a free laptop with completion of all of the courses! We can’t wait to see what they do with their new skills and knowledge around technology and digital navigation!

Spokane Community College's SEER program will be offering FREE support groups, workshops, and other services beginning January 8th. Learn more at their website by scrolling down to "Winter Quarter."

Wellness Activities Groups are accessible by contacting Ronda Hain at [email protected] to inform her what you wish to participate in. All groups and workshops to be held in building 16, room 170 (next door to the library)

We are so excited for this event! There will be craft stations for the kids, and a super secret toy room for parents to shop and wrap gifts ❤️💚🎄🎁 We'll also be serving dinner, so RSVP, and get here early!

Staff members at Rogers High School work together to build 20 bikes for students SPOKANE, Wash. — For the second year in a row, staff members and students at Rogers High School will come together to build 20 bikes for students in need!

This is a great opportunity for parents to learn more about screen time. December 11, 6-7:30 at John R. Rogers High School.

It was a cold one yesterday, but that didn't stop us from handing out about 100 food boxes with Four Roots at Garry Middle School! It fills our bucket to be able to help so many families in Northeast

This is tonight at 5:00 at John R. Rogers High School. There will be language support for Russian, Pashto, Dari, and Marshallese. Dinner and childcare will also be provided.

Gonzaga University's School of Leadership Studies is offering their FREE Spokane Neighborhood Leadership Academy again in 2024! Applications are open, and accepted until January 5th. We have had several Northeast residents go through this course in the past, and they have become fabulous leaders for our community! Get more information and apply at their website.

It was a full house on Friday night for Turkey BINGO! Our partnership with NorthEast Support Team-NEST Coalition and Shaw Middle School is a dream for these monthly family nights.

A big THANK YOU to Hillyard Senior Center for letting us use the antique light-up BINGO board, and Director, Tony for calling the games for us! You rock!

Thank you to Sonderen Packaging for supporting Lumen High School students and their children at GLOW Children Early Learning Center this holiday season with gifts, diapers, and other supplies that they would otherwise miss out on while at school. Your generosity is so helpful to these students

ZONE staff spent time at On Track Academy's showcase today, talking with students about their projects this semester. We learned about litter, video games, sewing, art, and more! These kids are dynamic and motivated.

We love our Essential Skills partners, Spokane Community College and Gonzaga University! Our graduates are doing great things!

The ZONE and SCC Partner Program Helps Disadvantaged [SPOKANE, Wash.] Spokane resident Paige Damaskos was struggling. The single mother was attending an intensive college program that left her little time to spend with her twin boys, who were eight years old. She only saw them for three hours a day.   Damaskos, 33, and her boys also had medical issue...

We'll be at On Track Academy's showcase tomorrow to see what the students on our campus are working on. Their projects always blow us away! Will you be there?

Yesterday we partnered with Four Roots, Shaw Middle School, On Track Academy, and Spokane Public Library Hillyard to distribute 116 boxes of fresh food to local families. Our GU Wolff Fellow got to help too!

Coats 4 Kids continues this week, through Friday, 9:00-3:00 each day.

Join us on Thursday, November 16, from 4:30-6:00 for a free legal clinic with Carlmaxeycenter, Manzanita House, Spokane Domestic Violence Coalition, and Dennis Cronin, Attorney at Law. Volunteers will be here at Northeast Community Center to discuss Family Law, Evictions, Immigration, Minor Guardianships, and SSI/SSDI.

The Coats 4 Kids distribution at Northeast Community Center begins on Monday at 10:00 am and goes through November 17. Be sure to bring your ID and documentation of all the kids in your family.

Kids in the Special Ed class at Yasuhara Middle School got bags of treats from a very generous donation from URM Stores - Warehouse yesterday! One of our staff members made up these little bags with gloves, lights, pens, and more to brighten these kids' day 🥸🎃

Northeast has a new playground! Kids near Wild Horse Park will be able to play on this new, safe, and FUN equipment.

We'll be at the Block Party on Thursday! Come join us! There's going to be free food, a vaccine clinic, resources, a Kids Zone, raffles, and more! 5-7 pm at On Track!

Our first Family Movie Night with NorthEast Support Team-NEST Coalition and Shaw Middle School was a HUGE success! We had over 130 people attend, and they received dinner and awesome Halloween SWAG, courtesy of URM Stores - Warehouse!

There were also super creative costumes, and 1st place went to Gum ball Machine! 2nd Place was Baby Pumpkin!
