The Jonah Project
The Jonah Project serves survivors of human trafficking as well as at-risk youth and women through Education, Advocacy, and Relocation
The Jonah Project exists to fight against the slavery of our kids. We believe Compassion is a Basic Need. We provide rescue/relocation for teens in trouble as well as temporary and full time housing and advocacy.
“This furniture, it’s everything. I finally feel human again” -23 year old survivor
When a volunteer advocate saw that this young lady has been living in her apartment with just a mattress for 6 months, they decided to rally their community to furnish it. They came together and cared for her quality of living, knowing there is dignity in a furnished home. Now, she has a comfortable space to continue her healing journey!

Survivor Story➡️ “I’m happy and I miss you all a ton. I finally feel free. Going through that horrible experience of trafficking made me appreciate my life and my freedom more. I’m getting back into my old self, my syle, music taste, my true personality. I wasn’t allowed to be myself with [my old pimp] because I had to have the look he wanted for me, the style he made me wear. So I’m so happy I can be me again! I appreciate all the help you and the Jonah Project has given me and I can’t wait to volunteer with you when I graduate” -22 year old survivor

On September 9, 2024, at approximately 5:45 pm, Spokane Valley Deputies responded to the 15700 block of E. Broadway for a trouble unknown call.
Deputies arrived and began an investigation into allegations that 52-year-old Jesse N. Fett was behaving inappropriately with a 13-year-old victim.
During the investigation, Deputies seized evidence of the inappropriate behavior and gained statements that supported that it was occurring, including multiple s*xually explicated messages.
With probable cause established, Deputies arrested Fett.
Fett was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for Communications with a Minor for Immoral Purposes, a felony.
At Fett’s first appearance in court on September 10, 2024, Spokane Superior Court Commissioner E. Cruz set his total case bond at $75,000. Fett remains in custody at the time this release was sent.
This remains an active investigation and additional charges are possible.
Note: If you wish to check on current inmates, if they are bondable, and their bond amount if set, please go to the Spokane County Detention Services Jail Roster at this link. https://www.spokanecounty.org/352/Inmate-Roster
