Make sure to wear a life jacket while boating and make sure you know the surroundings in which you are swimming in. Never leave children or those who don't know how to swim alone. Be safe!

Today, on World Drowning Prevention Day, we remember the lives of people lost to drowning and raise awareness about water safety.

Knowing how to swim, wearing a life jacket, and using the buddy system around water can save lives. Learn more ways to stay safe in and around water with our drowning prevention tips: https://bit.ly/3nQ7E4O

Don't forget to check in with friends, family, and neighbors this week as we prepare for more extreme heat! See if you can run errands or grab groceries for older relatives who might be more vulnerable to heat and check in with those who have health conditions too.

Keeping an eye out for those most vulnerable can help prevent heat-related illnesses and keep everyone in our community safe and healthy! For extreme heat resources, visit: https://shorturl.at/PafvN
