Premier Pediatrics
The Washington University physicians of Premier Pediatrics provide excellence in primary care for infants, children and adolescents.
As open enrollment approaches, we often get a lot of questions about what insurances that we are contracted with. Attached is a link to a pretty detailed list of plans that we are in network with. Since there are so many plans, it is impossible to list them all.
We are contracted with most major medical plans including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Alliance Choice, Cigna Open Access, and United Health Care Choice Plus.
If you have plan specific questions, you can call us at 314/859-4000 or contact your individual plan.
Health Insurance - Washington University Physicians All of the full-time faculty physicians of Washington University School of Medicine participate in the health insurance plans listed below. However, coverage and products change periodically. It is always best for patients to verify their current coverage directly with their plan administrator by pr...

This made all of the mama’s here laugh today. We hope this brings a smile to your face too!
Which one of you has children that see one of the best pediatricians in the area?
If you said me, you are correct as all 5 of our physicians were selected by Castle Connolly as some of the 2024 Top Docs in St. Louis as seen in the August 2024 edition of St. Louis Magazine.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Anderson, Dr. Foersterling, Dr. Rohatgi, Dr. Tackes, and Dr. Young.
The physicians would like to thank all our our patients for trusting us with your children. They also would like to thank our Nurse Practioner Emily Riley and our entire team that contribute daily to making us the Premier office that we strive to be.
We truly are blessed to have the best work family that includes all of you!!!
What does Back to School looks like at a pediatrician’s office?

Merry Christmas in July from your favorite cotton-headed n***y muggins!!
July is halfway over, school starts in a month. Have you scheduled your children’s back to school and sports physicals yet?
Not too many slots are open for checkups today with the other physicians however this dapper dad did have some cancellations for today become available. You can schedule on MyChart or by calling 314/859-4000.
Today’s well visit slots did end up filling but a few slots opened up with this super proud papa this Friday. You can schedule these online or call the office at 314/859-4000 to schedule.
As always, we do always save a percentage of our slots daily for same day sick visits.
Nurse Jen (aka Crook) getting down to business on a Tuesday
Happy Fourth of July from the physicians and staff at Premier Pediatrics. The office is closed today in observance of the holiday however we will be open tomorrow.
Back to school physicals are starting to fill up quickly especially the last week of July through the start of the school year.
We often get cancellations the day before or on the same day of the appointment. To better accommodate all our families, we are going to start posting daily appointments that do become available so families can grab these very coveted slots. Appointments will be filled on a first call first serve basis and we will update the posts once the slots are filled.
If you have not already called for your child’s check up please do call sooner than later, especially if you need to get multiple children in at the same time so we can best accommodate your need.
Stay tuned for these updates!
Who needs Disney when you can go to Premier Pediatrics? We like to believe that we are the happiest place on Earth.
Our Premier Family just grew x 2! Congrats to our beautiful mamas, Emma and Haleigh on the arrivals of their perfect baby boys.
Happy Friday! We are loving our new shirts and our new STL decorations in the office! Kelly says her favorite thing about living in “the Lou” is Busch Stadium and BallPark Village. What is yours?
We’ve been told that we are the most fun team of medical professionals in the area. This group definitely works daily to prove this to be true. We are even rubbing off on others in the building as they have jumped in on our fun little antics. The best joke so far was when they posted a Be On The Lookout for Nurse Jen.
Please help us in welcoming Emily Riley, CPNP to Premier Pediatrics. She has come to us after working 13 years locally as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care pediatrics. She has a 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter.
She is so excited to be working again with some of her previous co-workers and to be a part of the Premier Pediatrics family. She will begin seeing patients here in June.
Team bonding while cheering on one of our favorite teams, is there anything better?
The physicians and staff at Premier Pediatrics are more than just co-workers, we are a work family. We are truly blessed!!!
Has your child had their annual well visit or sports physical? April and May are the perfect months to schedule to get ahead of the summer crowds and to turn in your paperwork before the school year is over. Call us today at 314/859-4000 to schedule.
The house cup would not be a contest if there wasn’t a winner. Were you able to guess who won the cup this year?
Congratulations to the South side ladies, Ali, Crook, Emma, Mia, and Renee!
Great news! Nurse Amy is back from having baby number 3 and has scheduled our next free Newborn Care and Breastfeeding Class for expectant parents!! This month our super dad of 4 girls, Dr. George Anderson will be joining her for the class.
The class is virtual and will be on Thursday April 25th at 5:00pm. Please call 314/859-4000 to schedule. A link for the class will be sent the week of the event.
The creators of the office really put their hearts into this years challenge with their T-shirt designs and we had so much fun including all of you into the voting. Between the extremely close Facebook results and the results from the lobby and our waiting room, Renee from the South Side took home the winner with her “Helping Little Ones Bloom” design for this last challenge. Congrats ‘Nae!
Can you guess which team won the house cup?
FYI: No human eyes were harmed during the taking of these photos. Safety always comes first here at Premier Pediatrics.
Who else was able to witness the amazing eclipse today? We would love to see your photos!
Please note, Premier Pediatrics is moving our lunch break tomorrow back 1 hour (closed 1:30-2:30) to allow our patients and staff the opportunity to observe the Eclipse.
If you have an appointment tomorrow, please be prepared for the additional traffic on Highway 55 to arrive on time for your child’s appointment.
Lastly, the office is closing at 4pm due to an evening staff event.
Enjoy sharing this event with your family and make sure everyone is wearing ISO approved Eclipse glasses to protect their eyes.
I am sure that it would not surprise you that we have some over achievers here in the office so it was only fitting that we made this a category for the challenges this year.
Crook (Nurse Jen), Nikki, Molly, and Kelly (with a y) were the perfect match up and we laughed so much during this challenge. We tested their brains, physical abilities, creativeness, and cooking skills all in one challenge. They had to use clues to go around the building to pick up random ingredients. These 4 ladies darted off all in the same direction but Molly broke off on her own and was the first to figure out all the clues. One they had their ingredients they had to use a part of every item they picked up to make a dip that would be judged by some of the other departments in the building.
Kelly and Nikki tied for overall points but Nikki with Team Munchkin Land won the tie breaker by scoring higher in 2 of the 4 categories with her pizza bacon and onion dip. Congrats ladies and thanks for making this the most fun challenge yet!
Dr. Suess once said, “I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.” Well we love our nonsense of fun and games around here. This next challenge was for the brains of each group and good golly were these challenges hard. It was a close match up of Kim, Jordan, Mia, and Kellie with only one person figuring out the dot challenge to win this round.
Congratulations to Mia from the South Side team for outsmarting your competition.
Wow! Each month we receive the nicest compliments from our patient families. There is no better thank you than seeing our families happy with the care that we provide. We truly do strive each and everyday to provide each patient with nothing but our best. Thank you for noticing and for the kind words!
More fun and games…literally! The skills challenge. Emma, Nancy, Arkansas (Morgan #2), and Bridgette went head to head on 4 different challenges and our Sweet Southern Gal showed no mercy taking the top spot in this challenge. Congrats to Arkansas and the Munchkin Land ladies in Triage for winning this challenge.
Happy Easter to all of our favorite Lil Peeps! From the Physicians and Staff at Premier Pediatrics
