What are SIS Students, Alumni, and Faculty up to?
SIS Alumni, Marissa (Ito) Merril, ‘12 and Sara Menges, ‘12 got together and wrote/illustrated a children’s board book!
How Are You Feeling Little Dumpling? is a board book for children (ages 1-5) that teaches kiddos about their feelings while also celebrating Asian American culture in one of the best ways: food. The story follows Little Dumpling on an adorable adventure through a restaurant, where through rhyme, he names his feelings, describes how they show up in his body, and in return, reminds your child to notice their own emotions and seek a safe adult to share their experience and receive support.
Follow them on Facebook or Instagram to learn more about the book and how you can support them in the process.
