Why do I eat a high protein breakfast as a busy mom?

1. **Balancing Hormones**: High-protein can help stabilize blood sugar levels, which in turn helps balance hormones like insulin. Eating this way improves my mood and energy levels, which is crucial for managing the demands of work, our busy schedule, and very energetic kiddos. 🧘‍♀️

2. **Sustained Energy**: Protein takes longer to digest compared to carbohydrates, providing a steady release of energy throughout the morning. This sustained energy can help me keep up with the demands of my day! 💃🏻

3. **Feeling Full Longer**: Protein is known for its satiating effect, helping to curb hunger and cravings throughout the day. I’m a foodie who LOVES to snack, Snack, SNACK! This messes with my blood sugar big time and gets in the way of my health goals. By starting the day with a high-protein breakfast, I feel fuller for longer periods, reducing the temptation to snack on less nutritious options and quiets a lot ( not all ) of the “food noise” buzzing in my brain 🧠

Todays breakfast was roughly 30 grams of protein. Right now, Protein is the only Macro I put focus on. It’s sustainable for me.

2 slices of Dave’s Bread
1/2ish cup of cottage cheese
1 whole avocado
3 TBS of H**p seeds
Parsley
Lemon juice, Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder, & Chili Flakes to taste 👅

Our strength training workouts are no easy task!
YES they are quick
YES they are efficient
YES they are the safest way to weight train
AAANNDDD they are only ONCE PER WEEK!

But it requires HARD WORK 😓😤😮‍💨

Thus, one must have a lie-down every now and again before going to the next set 😴

Why do we prioritize strength training as a family of 4?

Parenting is HEAVY 🏋️🏋🏻‍♀️ Physically and Emotionally

Our number one priority as a couple is raising good, happy humans. This means making time to connect with them daily and creating an environment for them to explore, play, and thrive. In order to do this, we must have the time, energy, and means to provide this environment for them.

Here are 3 reasons why setting strength training as a priority is helping us and many of our clients be the best parents we can be!

1. Physical Preparedness:
Raising young children requires a physical capacity to bend, lift, carry, push, etc., HUNDREDS of times a day! Strength training gives us physical capacity needed to keep up with these crazy kids.

2. Energy and Stamina:
Strength training can significantly improve overall energy levels and stamina while enhancing muscular and cardiovascular endurance.

3. Stress Relief and Mental Well-being:
Engaging in regular strength training sessions can help parents manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve mood. The release of endorphins during exercise has a positive impact on mental health, increasing emotional resilience and ability to handle the challenges of parenting.

Nicole is are “Law Mama Ninja” ✨

She serves the South Bay as an excellent resource for those experiencing family law matters. She and her awesome husband fill our week with relatable stories of their busy life juggling their outstanding careers and raising their beautiful daughters.

🚲Nicole’s favorite activity in the SB is cruising on bikes and exploring local parks with her husband and kiddos! ☀️🌊

I love playing a role in our client’s fitness journey’s and being right next to them through the ups and downs, lefts and rights, that inevitably come with each individual’s path to a fit and healthy life.

Why should I bother?

H E Y 👋 Since we have quite a few new followers I thought I’d take the time to say hello and share with you a little bit about me and what I do here at the studio!

I’m a mom of 2 👦🏼👶🏼

I’m married to my business partner👩‍❤️‍👨

I used to hate working out but now I can’t imagine my life without it 💕💪

My role at is making sure the business runs smoothly and that our members have a great experience while they earn the results they desire.

I love coming up with creative solutions for our clients when life gets crazy and maintaining a feels impossible.

I am currently on my own as I begin the process of healing and training my new postpartum body. You can check out that process on my personal instagram (if I’m brave enough to post that day-haha!)
