We hosted our second meeting of the year with our partners at the College of Medicine - Tucson! Our club advisor, Sam Medina, presented many of the requirements for COM-T and ways to improve your application. Thank you Sam!

Thank you to all who came out to our first meeting! Our neurosurgeon speaker, Dr. Chua, was AMAZING!!! Big things to come this semester for MD!

The UA Medical Directive is back in action! Stop by our first meeting of the year in Henry Koffler Building room 216 @5:30! We have our board introductions, ice breaker activities, and a neurosurgeon coming in to speak to everyone! Hope to see everyone there!

Join UA Medical Directive at "La Tiendita" Rec Center Outdoor Area for the 2nd annual STHA Resident Street Fair! All residents are welcomed!

Having a mentor is a great way to get insight on medical schools and can be a guide on how to apply! DM us if you have any questions!

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe is in lockdown and is need of help getting resources. Medical Directive is working with the Emergency Rescue Team at the Pascua Yaqui Tribe to provide food, menstrual products, and more to help them through the detrimental effects of the pandemic. We have also been trying to help find ways to engage with their students by offering mentorship and educational services. DM us to find ways you can get involved and help in our efforts to support them.

Hello everyone!! Every month we will have some presenter come and talk to our group about various public health topics. This month I would like to thank Christi Castillo for presenting tips for self care and su***de prevention. We felt that with the bee semester starting and COVID-19 still limiting our abilities to do things, this would be a very useful topic to learn from. Everyone is invited, so please dm us if you are interested and invite other friends/family to join!

We are really thankful for the cup clinic letting our members Eshadow them while they take care of patients from underserved populations.

Here is what one of the freshman who shadowed at the Clinic said: “Shadowing medical students in the CUP clinic was my first real exposure to a medical setting. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to observe science, patient care, and student learning come together to benefit those in need to help the underserved community”

Happy Holidays to all front line workers and patients who are spending their holidays at the hospital, hospice, etc. away from your families because of COVID-19. We hope you join us and watch this mixture of carols, dances, and positive messages that will raise everyone's spirits during the holidays after an extremely tough year.
