Anna is ringing the bell, again.
This happens when a volunteer gets assigned to a new case. Anna is a familiar face in the office- she is a regular at our continuing education trainings and other CASA events.
Today she was assigned to a 7-year-old kiddo.
Thank you, Anna for sharing your contagious smile and for the amazing work you do.
Chris completed our CASA training last summer and has hit the floor running since then. She took on a case with a 13-year-old girl. Chris made sure to advocate for her kiddo's education and helped her get back on track with all of the appropriate resources in place. Since being sworn-in, Chris has been consistent in attending many of our events, including coffee connections and presentations.
Today she was assigned a new case and will be working with a 7-year-old boy. Chris said it best, "I just want to help as many children as I can."
June 18 is International Picnic Day. What is your favorite picnic treat?

Dan Peters has been a CASA Advocate for 6 years. This week he got assigned to his 8th case, a sibling group of 5 kiddos! Wow.
One of his goals with this case, is to ensure that the eldest boy who is placed in separate home, continues to have contact with his siblings.
Words from his CASA Coordinator: Dan cares deeply about the kids he is assigned to. He is a stellar advocate who requires minimal guidance, he attends trainings available to him, has held ed rights and is someone I can count on. Plus, he has a great sense of humor.
We are so proud to see a future leader emerging from among our ranks! Araceli Espinoza, outreach coordinator responsible for our Porterville office, graduated from the 2023-24 Leadership Tulare program, picking up a Perfect Attendance award along the way. Way to go, Araceli! And congratulations to the entire class.
With comprehensive training and ongoing support, you'll have the opportunity to advocate for a child in care and ensure they receive the support they deserve.

Wednesday evening was a very relaxed and soothing atmosphere at CASA. We spent some time learning about Mindfulness with Meade Williams, LMFT. It was about bringing our attention to the present and learning techniques to refocus and connect with ourselves and the world around us.
