College of the Sequoias Rotaract Club

We had a great initial club recruitment at Giant Days 2024! We are hoping to see some new Rotaractors join us for our first Fall meeting on September 5th.

We are wrapping up Club Rush and have some new potential members signed up. Next club meeting is Feb 20th, 12:30 PM in Kaweah 203. We have a big semester of service planned. Join us!

COS Rotaract Club is hosting a work Saturday at the Kaweah Oaks Preserve to do some tree planting and other beautification work.

Our club is also providing a hot lunch immediately following. This is a great opportunity to work outside and have some fun volunteering. Please consider joining us and bringing a friend or two or three. RSVP so that we have an accurate food count and enough support for the size of the crowd. Thank you.

The Visalia Chamber of Commerce Leadership Visalia program was a transformative experience for me. I went through it in 1995. I learned so much about my community and how I could help make it better. In the process I amd lifelong friends. The deadline is soon, but the application is simple. If you want to work on yourself and learn how to lead or know someone who does. Let's get back to service! We are reforming the COS Rotaract Club for 2022-2023 with a first meeting next Tuesday, July 5th in Sequoia Room 18 (inside the South side of the Sequoias building) at 12:15 PM and via Zoom. DM for Zoom information if you cannot participate in person. Members must be a COS student (with 6 units and at least a 2.5GPA) or a community member between 18 and 30 years old. Past COS Rotaractors that are in the area, you have a way to stay involved by linking up with the Visalia Community Rotartact Club. Some former COS Rotaractors recently formed the club and are already planning service projects like this one. Follow them and join if you can.

We are SO excited to share that our club will be helping Habitat for Humanity of Tulare/Kings Counties ReStore with their upcoming project to update the front of their ReStore building! This will make it easier to find the store, a crucial part of what Habitat for Humanity does for our community. 🤝🏠

We will be helping with one day (June 4th) of this multi-day project so if you or anyone you know has a group, organization, team, etc. that wants to help out, contact ReStore via their page or the email below. 👇
