New Report: Major Discipline Reporting 2023

The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General has published the Major Discipline Reporting Form for January 1 to December 31, 2023. This report, required by AG Directive 2021‐6, details major disciplinary actions—including terminations, rank reductions, and suspensions of more than five days—taken by New Jersey law enforcement agencies.

New Report: 2023 Crime in California
The California Department of Justice, led by Attorney General Rob Bonta, has released the 2023 Crime in California report. This comprehensive overview covers various aspects of the state's criminal justice system, including reported crimes, arrests, dispositions, domestic violence-related calls, and more. It also includes critical data on violent crimes against senior citizens and law enforcement officers killed or assaulted.
Please note that comparisons to prior years should be made with caution due to incomplete data submissions from some agencies in 2023.

The Illinois Crime Reduction Task Force, active from October 2022 through June 2024, has released its comprehensive report aimed at reducing crime in Illinois. Established under the Crime Reduction Task Force Act (20 ILCS 3926/1-5), the Task Force developed and proposed policies and procedures through public virtual meetings, expert testimonies, and community input.
