In 2002, the CHCI-AA voted to include former summer interns and scholarship award recipients who have graduated from college.

Each year, from September 15 - October 15, across the U.S., the nation observes National Latinx Heritage Month by celebrating the rich histories, art, stories, and cultural contributions of those whose ancestry can be traced back to Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America.

This year, the CHCI Alumni Association New York Chapter has curated an in-person event that will focus, center, and celebrate Black, Indigenous, and Q***r people in our conversation regarding Latinidad.
