The Veteran and Military Spouse Talent Engagement Program (VMSTEP) provides outreach and employment readiness assistance to Veterans, transitioning Service members, eligible military spouses, and survivors. The site includes information about the federal hiring process, training videos, as well as deployment checklists for VA’s National Guard and Reserve employees. VMSTEP also provides referral services to VA hiring managers by connecting them with qualified Veterans.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides career, education, and benefits counseling for and transitioning Service members through the Personalized Career Planning and Guidance (PCPG) program.
Individualized support is available to:
- Transitioning Service members six months prior to separation.
- Veterans who have separated from active duty within the last year.
- Any Veteran or beneficiary eligible to utilize a VA education benefit.
