During a recent visit to Michigan, Export-Import Bank of the United States Board Member Owen Herrnstadt spoke at a roundtable at Grand Valley State University, gave remarks at Michigan State University's Global Business Club of Michigan, and toured EXIM customer Buell Motorcycles. Director Herrnstadt discussed how EXIM’s Make More in America initiative can help U.S. manufacturing grow, support U.S. jobs and build resilient U.S. supply chains.

Two years ago, the Biden-Harris Administration passed the Inflation Reduction Act, which is tackling the climate crisis and creating U.S. jobs. Today, the Export-Import Bank of the United States celebrates its passage. Through President Biden’s Executive Order 14017 on American Supply Chains, the Make More in America initiative (MMIA) became another resource in EXIM’s toolbox that can be used to support American jobs through exports. This initiative was designed to help revitalize American manufacturing, improve resiliency of critical supply chains and support U.S. jobs.
