It’s easy to forget you are an elemental stardust being. A child of nature filled with mountain air and ocean spice who is above the mundane daily drama. I have recently tried my best to get some nature time in once a week. It’s HOT AS HELL but with an insulated water bottle full of ice water and some breezy clothes I try to go for a walk near a grassy area in the evening when it’s not so bad. It’s nice to remember the grass is our cousin, the trees are our elders, the little critters are our siblings.

We knew this was going to be a bit of a crazy week and it can be hard to feel like “it is what it is” 😮‍💨 Remember to take extra care and disconnect even though it’s difficult. And what’s the best way to disconnect?? Schedule a visit with Dr. Chen for an acupuncture and/or herbal medicine appointment! She will help you channel with inner floaty frog of chillness 🙂‍↕️

Oh hell yeah! I like this rebranding for spiders tbh. They’re not nightmare spawn they’re just freaky fairies 🧚🏽‍♀️ I can almost get behind it. The rest of them are legitimately fairies and I will not be convinced otherwise!

Change is scary. Growing up is scary, especially when you thought you’d done most of your growing up by now! But we’re all kids on the cosmic playground amiright?! You’re doing a good job 😘

We made it to another beautiful Friday! Time to channel our unbothered cryptid vibes 🐙 And the best way to do that is stay in our lane and stay moisturized 😌 I recommend using something light with SPF 50 or maybe 75 ☀️

I found a baby bird last night in the rain 😭 I gave it a little time then came back to find it getting wet so I made the call to pick it up. So I thought today we would do a PSA on what to do during the warm months if you come across an injured or very wee wild animal.

If you find an animal in need of rescue in Washington DC (unfortunately this is for DC only, not MD or VA) please call City Wildlife at (202) 882-1000 during the hours of 9am - 5pm and during off hours call (202) 732-5730 ext 2 like I did the other night! If it’s a pink lil baby bird DO NOT TRY TO FEED THEM. You can hurt them if you don’t know what you’re doing. If it is young and has feathers you can probably leave it where you found it unless it’s injured. They’re young but once they have their feathers they can take care of themselves. Ok love you! Stay cool in this heat and be kind to our fluffy and (in this case) pink and lumpy neighbors!

If the sun fries me like a piece of bacon does that mean I already have my Halloween costume? Who wants to be fried eggs and/or toast with me?? We might as well take advantage of the heat 😑🥵🔥🔥🔥

FOR THE RECORD! On this last day of Pride Month let’s reiterate what’s important. Let people live their beautiful lives and put your energy into adding richness to your own beautiful life 😌 Pride isn’t just a June thing it is eternal and fundamental to the healthy of all of human society! Let’s not forget it!

Rejection SUCKS! But hiding behind it can be an opportunity you weren’t even considering. If you keep coming up against brick walls sometimes it’s ok to give up that path. It’s ok to pick a different direction at any point in your life 😌 Do a little skeleton dance with your girlies and keep going!

It’s too hot to be moving quickly ANYWHERE! I don’t care if it’s hump day, bump day, or any other day 😩 Remember your water bottles kids and stay hydrated! My fave water bottle is this collapsible one I have. When it’s empty it folds down into something I can easily fit in my bag. I love putting lots of ice in it and so my water stays frosty 🧊❄️
