Wartburg Engineers it is - what do you most appreciate about Wartburg College Engineering?
Students in ES 313 (Digital Electronics) worked together to make a 2-bit parallel adder on the day before break. Impressively, the device worked on the first try!
Ashley DeLong '23's college search began at larger universities, but landed at Wartburg after learning she could pursue both her golf career and passions for engineering and physics. 🛠📋
"I have wanted to be an engineer since I was 10 years old. I love solving problems and want to make the world better by making a more innovative and technologically advanced world. I also like being able to work with teams and lead teams. All those things are incorporated into engineering. Physics came about because I wanted to go more on the electrical engineering path," Ashley said.

Nice work Knights 👏👏
Misha Seebeck ’22 broke his family’s legacy of going to Iowa State to come to Wartburg, knowing it was the only place where he could explore all his interests.
“There is a lineage of Iowa State, and here is me just breaking that chain. I am so fortunate to be able to have these opportunities at Wartburg. I chose Wartburg because it offered three of my biggest passions: engineering, soccer, and music. Not many institutions are able to offer all three of those things at a specific place,” Seebeck said.

Cutting edge work by Engineering Science alum Jason Welstead (BA’07).
Imagine it: You’re on an airplane, buckled in, waiting to take off — and instead of accelerating down a runway, the plane simply lifts into the air and flies away.
That future may be closer than you think thanks to Jason Welstead ’07 and his work at NASA. While working on a project his junior year at Wartburg, he discovered aerospace engineering and decided to make that his career path. After graduating with a degree in engineering science and mathematics, that path first took him to Auburn University in Alabama, where he earned his master’s degree and doctorate in aerospace engineering. 🚀💫
The next stop: NASA. Read more: https://www.wartburg.edu/2023/03/09/blasting-off/
