Senior Shenanigans at graduation!!! Unbeknownst to Mr. Lynch, each senior had a ping pong ball waiting for him. As each one took their turn shaking his hand, they handed him a ping pong ball!!! He didn’t have a place to put them all so he stuffed them in his sleeves!

Mr. Ford’s class did a Physics project called The Passion Project where students consider what they are most passionate about and relate that in some way to physics. Malachi Veracruz sold chocolates and raised enough support to secure ENCHROMA GLASSES for Mr. Ford, who is color blind. It was so awesome to see the class leading Mr. Ford around school asking him what colors he was seeing!!!!!!! Malachi’s passion is helping people! Way to go, Malachi!!!! You are a rock star!!!!!

Safety and Security Procedures

Dear Waxahachie ISD Senior Families,

In light of the tragic events in Uvalde CISD earlier this week, Waxahachie ISD has made the decision to increase security measures for the Global High School and Waxahachie High School graduation ceremonies. We want to be clear that we do not believe there is any threat to either graduation ceremony; these additional security measures are being taken out of an abundance of caution.

Waxahachie Global High School Graduation

Thursday, May 26, 2022
7 p.m.
Sheaffer Center, Southwestern Assemblies of God University

• Only the main (front) entrance of the Sheaffer Center will be available for entry.
• We will have an increased presence of Waxahachie Police Department and WISD security personnel.
• We strongly encourage families not to bring purses, bags, backpacks, etc.
• If you are NOT carrying a bag of any kind, please enter through the doors on the right side of the Sheaffer Center’s front entrance.
• Families who do need to bring bags will be asked to enter through the doors on the left side of the Sheaffer Center’s front entrance. All bags coming into the Sheaffer Center will be searched by Waxahachie ISD security personnel.
• Waxahachie ISD reserves the right to use a metal detector to search any graduation ceremony attendee or graduate.

Lumpkins Stadium

• No ground-level entrances will be available for graduation attendees.
• We will have an increased presence of Waxahachie Police Department and WISD security personnel.
• We strongly encourage families not to bring purses, bags, backpacks, coolers, etc.
• If you are NOT carrying a bag of any kind, please enter through the mezzanine entrances on the right (Gate 4).
• Families who do need to bring bags will be asked to enter through the mezzanine entrances on the left (Gate 5). All bags coming into Lumpkins Stadium will be searched by Waxahachie ISD security personnel.
• For those who choose to sit on the visitor’s side of Lumpkins Stadium, please use Gate 1. If you do NOT have a bag, please use the line on the right. If you need to bring a bag into the stadium, please use the line on the left.
• Waxahachie ISD reserves the right to use a metal detector to search any graduation ceremony attendee or graduate.

We want every graduate and every family to have a wonderful experience at the graduation ceremony, and we will strive to make these security measures as unobtrusive as possible. However, bag searches and other security measures may delay entrance to the graduation venue. Please plan accordingly to arrive early, and exercise patience with our staff. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work to keep all graduation attendees safe.

We have our final winner for the Global Attendance Challenge!!! Congratulations to Kaleb Hager who had zero absences and zero tardies for THE WHOLE YEAR!!! Kaleb is definitely an attendance rock star!!! 🏆 Being at school is COOL!!!

A huge THANK YOU to the Education Foundation for their grant to Global’s Health Science program!!! The Education Foundation granted our program $3047 to buy an Electrocardiogram machine for our students!!!! Students will gain depth of knowledge about heart disease and real life cardiac emergencies!!!

Students in Mrs. Hoffman’s Spanish 2 class had fun designing piñatas!!! They are ready for a fiesta!!!

Seven Global Education pathway seniors will earn their Education Aide I Certifications by the end of this Summer.
