CALLING ALL ADOPTERS!

Now in the 16th year of existence, the Adopt-a-Class Program is looking to build an even larger community of adopters for the 2024-2025 school year. As we extend this program to include our soon to open elementary school, Jimmie Ray Elementary, this year we will need more adopters than we have ever needed in the history of the program!

Businesses, community partners, and civic organizations of any size are welcomed and encouraged to “adopt” a 3rd grade class to bring their unique personality, skillset, knowledge, and experiences directly to the classroom.

Beginning July 22, applications to be an adopter may be picked up at the Administration Building or found online at: https://www.wisd.org/page/1256

Yesterday, Ms. Selby's class had a wedding for Q & U. This is to to help the kids remember that Q & U will always work together whenever a word begins with Q. EX: queen, question mark, quilt, etc.

Turner PK teachers celebrated the completion of their NISE certification today! Over the 22-23 and 23-24 school year, teachers developed a portfolio that demonstrated proficiency across 15 teacher actions essential to STEM learning. Congratulations to our newest NISE teachers!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
