The Apollo Club men’s choir began in 1910 as a group that loves to sing and share music in the Wenatchee Valley and beyond. We are one of the longest-tenured male choirs in the country. Our typical season runs from September through May. Each year, we also provide scholarships to local music students so they can pursue their dreams through higher education.

We sing a wide range of songs including country, pop, show tunes, gospel, and contemporary. Since our start 114 years ago, Apollo Club performances have numbered in the thousands. Although most performances are local, some of our venues have included the Seattle World’s Fair, Spokane World’s Fair, Vancouver, B.C. Expo, and the Missoula Montana International Choral Festival.

We present a public Christmas concert with the Wenatchee Appleaires (women’s choir) and then we end our season in late May with our final or “Home” concert. We have also sung at many independent/assisted living facilities in the area.

We have both held music folders and sung by memory. Being able to sight-read music is a bonus, but certainly not required. We also have practice tracks by part that are very helpful to many. During our active season we practice each week from 7-9-- traditionally on
Tuesdays. We are a very easy-going group, just looking to share some singing fun and enrich the lives of folks in our community and beyond.

That’s right!!! Apollo Rehearsal tomorrow night (Tuesday, 1/23) 7-9pm. Eastmont Junior High Orchestra Room. Enter the commons (main entrance), turn right after you walk through cafeteria. 1st door on the left. New singers welcome!

Come crescendo with us tonight (January 16) at Eastmont Junior High in the orchestra room from 7-9pm. Enter commons, walk to the hallway and turn right. First room on left.

The Apollo Club is looking forward to resuming rehearsals Tuesday evenings starting 1/9/2024 at Eastmont Junior High in East Wenatchee from 7-9pm. New singers always welcome!

We will start the season with a potluck at Shelter Number 2 (southernmost shelter) in Walla Walla Point Park from 5:30-7:30 PM Tuesday afternoon, August 29. We will shoot to eat around 5:45-6:00. The club will provide burgers and dogs including buns. Sections and individuals will provide:
Tenor 1: salads; Tenor 2: Deserts; Baritone: Side dish; Bass: Condiments and drinks
Jim Bowen will provide utensils, plates and cups.

Wives/significant others welcome as are potential new singers.

Also, our first practice is set for Tuesday, Sept 12 at Eastmont Jr. High. Also watch for a local TV program set to Air on Sept 4!! We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

The Wenatchee Apollo Club has the honor to sing BOTH the U.S National Anthem and the Canadian National Anthem for the Wenatchee Bighorns Pro Basketball on Tuesday March 7th. Get your tickets!

Hey Guys…. WANT TO SING?!?
The Wenatchee Apollo Club is launching again for the 2022-2023 season with a BBQ this coming Sunday (8/28) at 4PM at Steve Lacy's house. (Please Private Message Us for the Address) Burgers, Dogs, sides and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. Please plan to come and bring your wife and others you know that would like to sing.
The first practice will be on Tuesday, Sept 13th at 7PM to mostly begin working on Christmas numbers (venue not yet determined). We also have a potential gig in February with several other local choirs.

As of March 29, 2022, we have new officers for the Wenatchee Apollo Club! Our new president is Steve Lacy. Secretary is Terry Lillybridge, Treasurer is Len Anderson, and Librarian is David LuBean. Congratulations!

Hello everyone, (ED SANDS’ MEMORIAL)

All present and former Apollo Club members are invited to take part in a singing of “Our Way” to honor Ed Sands at his memorial service on Saturday, March 19th at 11 a.m., at the Holy Apostles Church in East Wenatchee at 1315 NE 8th Street.
Music: If you are able, the family has asked us to put together as many members as possible to sing the Apollo Club Theme Song, “Our Way”, towards the end of the service during the recessional. There will be someone accompanying us. If you message your email or put it in the comments below, I can email you an mp3 recording of just the piano part, which I believe is Teri Rappe’ tickling the ivories on and also a PDF of a well-worn copy of Ed’s arrangement of the song. As far as getting together ahead of time to rehearse, I don’t know if/how that will go down. Our main intent is to get the word out about Ed’s service, and to get the music out for people to refamiliarize themselves with should you want to participate.

With much sadness, a past member and long time director of the Wenatchee Apollo Club has passed away. Mr. Ed Sands was a vital part in making the Apollo Club a success for many years. On behalf of the Wenatchee Apollo Club, we send our thougths and prayers to the entire family.

Seasons Greetings to all Wenatchee Apollo Club Members! We are hoping to start up in January of 2022 if everything goes right! We will send out more information in the near future.

Hello to all Apollo Club Members! Here is an update on where we are as of September 8, 2021. The Apollo Board met a few times during the summer, and during our August meeting, we decided to start up again the first week in September of 2021. Well, as you know this didn’t happen! The new variant with the pandemic changed the decision. The board will be meeting again on September 13, 2021. We hope we can set a new date soon! If you are anxious about singing, go ahead and listen to your practice tracks that were given to you previously. If you do not have the tracks, the music is on the Apollo Club website (WenatcheeApolloClub.com).

Hopefully things will change so we can start up again.

P.S. If you are a recent member and won't be able to join us, please make arrangements with one of the board members to return your music, vest and ties asap. Thank you!

Every year we award four (4) $1000 scholarships to qualifying high school students heading to a college or university. In order for this to happen, we ask businesses to help sponsor this endeavor. Also, we have a concert to help raise the funds for the scholarships. Since we were unable to have a concert this year (because of the COVID-19 virus), we are still able to give out the four (4) $1000 scholarships!

Your Brain and Singing: Why Singing in a Choir Makes You Happier Any of us who have sung in choirs know all too well the joy it brings not just the audiences, but also the choir members themselves.
