Instead of fighting my racing mind, I got up and first wondered .. where's the reboot button? I just want to turn off, wait 10 seconds then turn myself back on .. then all will be ok.
I found the reboot button in the early morning air, sky and water.
And then, there was a chicken ... 🐓

The words TRANQUIL .. PEACE .. AWE .. come to mind ...
Lately my mind has been overactive with conversation I'm not familiar with. Ironically, if my day is too quiet .. the conversation is overwhelming LOUD like that one person in a crowd who is screaming about something and you have no clue why they are screaming.
My consistency is walking every morning. Early hours when it's still dark, Florida air is chilly and the sun isn't warming my face just yet. Despite path's quietness, the conversation becomes DULLED.
Many years ago, a friend helped me overcome my fear of running down a mountain. She said, meditate as you run down hill. What? A meditative run (walk, hike, etc) is using your 5 senses. You say .. "I'm aware of" and use one of your senses.
So on this morning I stopped .. and in my head said ..
I'm aware of the beauty I see ..
I'm aware of the smell of the salt water ..
I'm aware of the breeze on my face ..
I'm aware of the sound of the ocean ..
This type of meditation helps you to quiet the loud conversation that seems, for a moment, out of control.
Try it .. and know that walking, running, hiking, biking and just great moment is not only for physical wellness BUT amazing for your mental wellness.

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.
There was a pause. "Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.
"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."
"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.
"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.
"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.
"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."
And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs…he thought that his best friend had never been more right."
Piglet was a positive distraction for Pooh's Difficult Day. It may have been easier for Pooh to ride out the storm with Piglet by his side.
Know that if you stand by your friend's side, quietly while swinging your legs, YOU might make them feel better. No words, just YOU by their side. The aim isn’t to try to make everything better, but rather to avoid making things feel worse.

Oh how I love and adore Pooh. I can only imagine that Pooh's good friend Piglet would say .. Just breathe and have Faith that everything will work out for the best.
When I hear .. don't overthink, wonder and try not to obsess .. I think of a quote from Wayne Dyer:
"Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be."
"Peace isn’t something you ultimately receive when you slow down the pace of your life. Peace is what you’re capable of being and bringing to every encounter and event in the waking moments of your life. Being peaceful is an inner attitude that you can enjoy when you’ve learned to silence your incessant inner dialogue. Being peaceful isn’t dependent on what your surroundings look like. It seldom has anything to do with what the people around you think, say, or do. A noiseless environment isn’t a requirement."
So if the environment has noice .. ie, thoughts, wonder and obsession .. can there be peace?
Dyer suggests "..picturing a container deep within yourself out of which all your thoughts flow. Inside of this container, at its very center, imagine a candle flame. You need to make a commitment that this flame in the center of the container holding all your thoughts will never, ever even flicker, although the very worst may go before you. This is your container of peace, and only peaceful thoughts can fuel the burning candle. You don’t need to change your thoughts as much as you need to learn to be an energy of peace lighting the way and attracting serene, harmonious thoughts and beings. In this way, you’ll become a being of peace."

I'm forced to become Present and Peaceful when I can't stop thinking .. such a noisy mind
I watch the boat as it waits so patiently for the bridge to open .. seems so quiet, so tranquil .. early hours of the morning. But as I now wait for the bridge to close, I wonder .. must I silence my mind? Must I banish all my negative thoughts because I have mastered some sort of technique to quiet the mind?
I am okay with whatever happens. I am okay with the negative thoughts and the noisy mind. I'm okay with the interruptions and distractions.
And let's consider if we are okay with whatever happens, perhaps we don’t hang on to them. In other words, we learn to let things go.

Almost 3 years ago, the world shifted into a virtual environment. This included the fitness field.
I went from teaching Pilates classes at 6 days a week and working out in my local gym to walking in my neighborhood and trying to figure out how to keep myself busy at home, alone.
I threw myself into the virtual fitness world and haven't looked back. I continue to work with clients privately, helping them meet their fitness and health goals. I also continue to teach group fitness classes. Classes include Pilates Sculpt, Total Body Conditioning and soon to come .. BARre Fusion and Athletic Group Reformer.
Love the ease of teachiing anywhere, anytime. Thanks to my sister for letting me keep my team and community moving and working hard during this Total Body Conditioning class.

What really matters?
The original 6 principles of the Pilates Method are:
Pilates is a focused yet relaxed concentration, not something that would create tension.
We are gently and fully present, and with practice, we become more and more aware of our alignment, our quality of movement, our breath, and all the details large and small that make his exercises so great.
It is mind and body made one through breath.

What does this mean to you? For me, being flexible and going with the flow as water does.
Flexibility and emotions correlate to the second chakra (svadisthana), which resides in your hips and pelvis. A balanced chakra leads to better energetic flexibility.
One way to increase your energetic flexibility is to connect to the water element. By connecting to the water element, you can draw upon nature for inspiration by inviting more fluidity into your life.
Try moving like the water, with softer edges. Practice breathing like water, noticing the flow of your inhale and exhale. Water is flexible, but it’s powerful. Sit beside a body of water, listen to its sounds, or do a water meditation to feel its energetic effects.
