At Pilates for Every Body we are certified Body Rolling, Foot Fitness, Face Ball and Table Treatment Practitoners. These programs are offered in private sessions and a once-weekly virtual class. The Yamuna programs are the work of Yamuna Zake, a visionary in understanding how the body works and what the body needs. to sustain itself. Most importantly this work stimulates your bones, opens and free joints to move more freely, and destresses. We're 20 years old today! On February 2, 2002 Pilates for Every Body opened its doors and we've been going strong ever since. We have expanded what we offer to include Core Align, Strength Training, TRX, hands on stretch, and many forms of the Yamuna technique including Body Rolling classes, hands-on tablework, faceball, and foot fitness.

Pilates at Home: Virtual Classes and Private Sessions with Pilates Equipment. Pilates for Everybody has several at home options to help you begin, restart, or continue your personal exercise journey. Exercise in your home with an instructor with 20 years of experience training women in the Westport area.

Pilates Barrels Class will begin on Friday, January 8 at 11AM. The Pilates small barrel workout will help you open shoulders, chest, and hips, and improve your core strength. A small number of barrels are available to rent during each class session. Reserve your barrel NOW.

Consider private training on the Peak MVE chair. The chair workout builds strength in your arms, legs and core and has a large balance component. Pilates for Every Body EXERCISE AT HOME options

Increased demand for exercise equipment to use at home is at an all time high. Let us help you put some equipment into your home without the hassle of figuring out what to get and then waiting months for delivery due to back orders.

We are now offering Pilates chair rentals on a monthly basis with virtual once or twice a week training. You'll get a recording of your session to use for practice, too.

NEW Virtual CLASS
Pilates 2x4 Balance & Mat
The 2x4 is used in the Pilates system to build strength in the feet and ankles. The beauty of the 2x4 work is that it helps everyone experience the connection of the feet up through the legs into the core muscles. This is simple yet powerful work that everyone can benefit from. The class will also include standing balance and matwork.

Things to know:

* This class is suitable for all levels.
The mat exercises will be appropriate for you whether or not you have low bone density scores.

* You will need to purchase a 2x4 for this class. They are $25 each.

* The class will be conducted on Zoom. You will receive a recording of each class that you can view for 10 days.
More to Know:

* This is a four class session on Fridays at 11:00am-12:00pm

Dates: Sept 18, 25, Oct 2, 9

Fee: $100 plus $25 for the 2x4 payable by check, cash or credit card

STRONG WOMEN TO DO PILATES/WOMEN GET STRONG DOING PILATES.
The back press on the chair with the feet supported is a great exercise for opening the chest and shoulders and activating the core muscles. It is also the beginning of the Teaser exercise where the legs are also lifted. The Pilates chairs are different but the same principles apply.

The Core Align has a home in our studio. While not a piece of Pilates equipment, many of the same stability and movement principles are used. The Core Align also challenges balance and it can be used for many wonderful stretches. Here is Charlene doing the plank and the lunge.

We are one of the few Pilates studios in Fairfield County to offer private training using the Core Align.
