Students will present their portfolios for you to provide feedback on their work and presentation. Your review aids them in creating a portfolio that will help them gain employment.

We want to thank everyone who came to view our Visual Arts Student Showcase. Including our judges Doug Billings and Marcia Scurfield. The students worked hard this semester.

The AIGA student group had a break from their end of semester stress and enjoyed some holiday fun. They enjoyed homemade hot cocoa, secret Santa gifts, White Elephant gift exchange, games and an ugly sweater cookie decorating contest. Gianna’s cookie was voted the winner.

The weather was perfect for us to work on portable panels for our upcoming student Showcase. A big THANK YOU to the donor of the panels, my dad and Lauren for helping with the labor/tools. Our students will appreciate having these panels to display their projects!

Come join us for our last Pop Up Gallery event of the year featuring artwork by Friends U Senior Sarah Hauser.

The Pop Up Gallery will be located in the north lobby of the Olive White Garvey Business and Technology Building located at Maple and Hiram street.

Exhibit on view First Friday Dec. 1st from 5pm - 7pm.

We had our Friendsgiving tonight in the Falcon Studio. We shared what we’re thankful for, our favorite dishes and played games. A BiG thanks to Leo for fixing the ham.

It’s a busy night in the Falcon Studio! Getting the mural stenciled for Scholarship Day, finishing our Riverfest Poster entry, and watching our Reina compete in her soccer game in Arkansas.

Photography 1 is having fun learning about anthotypes. These were made by our students using turmeric.

We would like to THANK everyone that came to our Winter Market today to support our visual art students. It was great to have Casado staff, Marketing Department, Admissions, AIGA Wichita president, Kansas Newman staff, perspective students, family and friends. It was a sell out! Hope to see everyone at our spring market in February.

Congratulations to our senior, Sarah Hauser. She had her work on display at Vertigo Gallery’s “Twilight” exhibit.

The students are busy working on their Winter Market merch! Make sure to stop by Casado this Friday between 1 - 3pm and peruse these one of a kind creations.

High School Art and Design students can come paint a mural, see our studios, meet faculty, share portfolio for $$$, and eat lunch with our current students.

Annie Morrison, who is majoring with an emphasis in graphic design gained real-world experience this morning in photography. Through the student agency “Align,” Annie photographed and captured activities at Woodland Lakes Community Church.

Last night the AIGA student group made some Halloween memories playing a live action version of the “Among Us” video game. Lot’s of laughs, creative costumes and great food.
