Gown Town 2016 is from 9am-2pm at North High School. Get free promwear and other goodies for free with a High School Student ID.
Gearing up for families to pick up items this Saturday. We have had a TREMENDOUS turnout this year!! Thank you to all of the Maize schools that donated food items, thank you to the businesses and individuals who donated monetarily AND adopted children/bought gift items and another big thank you to all of the helpers who work solely on volunteer hours to make this program a success! Because WE CARE!
There are 66 families and 203 kids that are involved in the Caring Hearts program this year. We have been working on gathering food and gift donations for Community families in need during the Holiday Season. Our Community is AMAZING, thus far we only have 3-4 kids left to gather gifts for so if you are interested in getting involved and giving back please get with us SOON as the deadline is in a couple days!
HUGE thank you to our Community Partners/Businesses, all of the Maize schools and every individual who has donated monetarily or adopted a kid/family this Holiday Season. We are beyond grateful and because of YOU there will be 66 families and 203 kids that have a WONDERFUL Christmas this year!
Thank you to Watercress Village for letting us utilize the Clubhouse to welcome neighbors and spread JOY! We hope to see you next year. Also, thank you for supporting your Maize Lions Club and our Caring Hearts Program!!

Last Wednesday the Maize Police Department delivered 90 Thanksgiving meals to families in our Community, which was funded by the Maize Lions Club! Thank you so much for your service and we are beyond thankful for you!! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Mark your calendars! We are celebrating our Annual Holiday Open House here soon and we would like to extend the invite. Come Eat, Drink and Be Merry! We will also be offering updates on what is going on in the Maize Community as well as ways you can get involved! As we celebrate our Annual Caring Hearts Program (Christmas Assistance) we invite you to come learn more about how you can help. Come one, come all!
Scott and Larry both received their Lions Club pins this past meeting for spreading the word and recruiting members!! We have had 4 new members join the past 3 months and are looking to expand! If you are interested in getting involved let us know.
We have a lot going on in the Community and our Caring Hearts Program could use some volunteers!! Will update soon with more information.

Festival proceeds support the Caring Hearts program and several other community wide services and projects for the visually impaired and youth of our community. And don’t forget to bring your old cell phones in for Cell Phones for Soldiers, old hearing aids and eyeglasses for recycling.

The Maize Lions Club began on January 8, 1959, with The Valley Center Lions Club as its sponsor. This original charter was disbanded in the mid 1990’s. The current club was re-established in January 2003, and sponsored by the Airport Lions Club.
