‼️ New Era Scholarship - $1000 ‼️

I am thrilled to announce that I will once again be awarding the New Era Scholarship to two deserving individuals in our community! This year, I am grateful to have the support of my colleagues, Travis Littlejohn with Flint Rock Construction and Kevin Starks with Contractor Envy, who have also joined in on this initiative to give back.

To apply for the scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
1️⃣ Be a DACA recipient / Non U.S. Citizen
2️⃣ Submit a 500-word essay answering the following three questions:
- Tell us about yourself and your background
- What motivates you?
- Do you consider yourself a leader or a doer, and why?
3️⃣ Like & Follow all the businesses listed above!

In addition, applicants will need to provide enrollment verification. Be sure to email us your essay and enrollment verification before the deadline of August 16th, 2024. It’s been a week since our unforgettable Dream Big Fiesta, and we’re still buzzing with excitement! 🌟🎉 This event is so much more than a celebration—it’s a crucial part of our mission to support our KHEDF scholars.

Check out the amazing impact of our 2024 KHEDF Scholars! We awarded 52 scholarships, totaling $179,872.50, to these incredible students. Here's a quick snapshot:

-83% are on free & reduced meals
-83% are first-generation students
-94% chose a Kansas college or university
-62% Female, 38% Male
From 15 different high schools, 73% of which are Wichita Public Schools
They are pursuing diverse paths, with 50% going to 4-year public colleges, 29% to community colleges, 17% to 4-year private colleges, and 4% to cosmetology school
Their chosen degree paths are equally impressive, with many focusing on Health Professions, Engineering, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Business, Applied Studies & Architecture, and Fine Arts & Cosmetology.
