Applications for the 2023 CHI Scholarship are now open. The C.H.I. Scholarship, founded by the Courageous Chi Chapter of Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Latinas Poderosas Unidas, Inc. and partnered with the Student Government Association (SGA), was created to help foster youth with limited resources to pursue a higher education and to support them throughout their collegiate career. Student Body President John Kirk, Student Body Vice President Mary Elizabeth Thornton, and Director of Legislative Affairs Jay Thompson traveled to Topeka today to meet with the Kansas Board of Regents!
President Kirk stated they were able to talk about the student fees allocation base, and learn what the Regents were looking for, while sharing excitement about the passage of the menstrual product bill.
As another benefit of the day, our WSU Student Leaders were able to make great connections with other Universities through their respective Student Body Presidents.
The December 2022 Food For Fines will take place Tuesday, December 6 through Friday, December 9. Food for Fines is an initiative to support the Shocker Support Locker, while providing a cheaper alternative to pay parking citations. Please note that donations can only be accepted during the donation period. All donations for Food for Fines must be dropped off at the Student Government’s Office in RSC 219.
