This guy is a great example of what PT can do! Due to back pain and weakness following an injury, he used 2 canes to walk for 31 years (yes, thirty-one!). After seeing his wife’s success with PT, he cautiously agreed to give it a try. He began with simple exercises, progressing to balance work, and soon he was walking around the clinic without canes. He then felt strong enough to handle the spinal surgery he required for full recovery and returned to PT afterward. Becca worked his tail off, and now look at him! Because of his hard work and dedication, not only is he walking without canes, he’s enjoying activities he never thought possible—even dancing with his wife again!

This lady has not only been a joy to work with, she is such an inspiration! Exactly 1 year ago today she was training for a triathlon when she was hit by a truck on her bike. Rushed to the ER, she was found to have a concussion and severe neck sprain, as well as multiple fractures in her back, ribs, and lower leg. One year, two big surgeries and LOTS of PT later she’s playing basketball and pickleball, bowling, golfing and just two weeks ago placed first in several throwing and jumping events at the Sunflower State Games, earning her spot to compete at Nationals next year! She’s obviously tough as nails but also smart and DEDICATED to her rehab, and that has made all the difference.
