Lexie will be adding a tree to her sleeve for each loved one represented during her Project 437 run. Each tree symbolizes a unique story and will also be honored in a special journal Lexie will use for reflection and motivation throughout the project.

I've shared a couple posts about my good friend Lexie and her journey with the 437 Project. Coming up next week, Lexie and I are going to be spending the day together to help bring awareness to a deeply serious issue that is becoming more and more prevalent in our state. Below are her words and I would encourage you all to read and follow along in her story.

"Each year, over 48,000 people die by su***de in the United States. I and 11 other runners are working together to influence and create positive change in South Dakota by running across the state, raising funds and awareness.

I've been sharing my training journey and my mission on social media, and along the way, I've heard and shared stories from individuals who have lost a loved one to su***de. As the project approaches, I want to honor these loved ones during my running journey across the state of South Dakota.

To make this happen, I will be collaborating with Lisa Lynn Nicholas at 183 INK to continue working on my sleeve tattoo on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Anyone who would like me to represent their loved one during the run will be represented by a tree on my arm. The design is still pending.

We will be going LIVE on the 183 Ink page, on the afternoon of September 5th, where you can watch Lisa tattoo each tree and learn more about the 437 Project. Not only will I have each loved one represented on my sleeve but will have their name in a journal that I will use to reflect and motivate me during The 437 Project.
