If you worry about how the important people in your life will treat you if you gain weight, consider this:
The ones who really care for, love, and respect you will still care for, love, and respect you. We see you as a WHOLE PERSON, not just your body size.
However, if you find that important people in your life treat you differently after gaining weight, here are some additional things to consider:
1) Is this person willing to learn about your healing journey and challenge their own internalized fatphobia?

2) Is this person willing to respect your boundaries about weight and diet talk, even if they are not open to education?
And if neither of the above...
3) How is spending time with this person affecting your mental and emotional wellbeing and is it worth it?
Your wellbeing and boundaries matter. Curate the life you deserve with the people who love and respect you most.

Low FODMAP veggies for stir fry

If FODMAPs are a trigger for your IBS and you love stir fry you can enjoy these vegetables and in time as you find your tolerance add back in a little FODMAPs.

Who is going to an end-of-the-summer Labor Day BBQ this weekend but is nervous that diet talk will appear? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🙋
Save this post with six responses to shut this conversation down and consider these tips. 👀

1️⃣Try to shift the conversation to something more engaging or exciting.

2️⃣If you feel comfortable doing so, you can explain that these conversations are not conducive to healing.

3️⃣Be sure to prioritize your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

What else do you find helpful in these situations? 🤔

Making peace with food can be extra challenging when those around you talk about food or dieting. RW is here to support you. ❤️

Do you put diet food on a pedestal😬🍽️? Save this post📌!

The dieting industry is huge and only growing bigger each day, which is ironic given how terribly it represents bigger body types. Its unlimited promises make products seem like magic, but it’s an illusion. Professional dietitians can tell you that all food is derived from carbohydrates, fat, and protein.

I know you might have been told otherwise, but bread is not your enemy. Your body actually needs carbs to function! The green juice is no better or worse than any other food choice, and it won’t transform you into a model over night. Good thing you are already worthy as you are now to pose for a photo💃!

There are many factors that can trigger an IBS flare such as -
- stress, anxiety,
- caffeine
- alcohol
- changes in fiber in the diet
- hormones, maybe your symptoms are different at various times of the month.
- lack of sleep and rest.
- eating too many high FODMAP foods, or ones that aren’t well tolerated.

Remember its the big picture, be kind to yourself, have a look back at the last few days and see if you notice any triggers, return to a baseline lower FODMAP diet or foods you know sit well with you, take a nap, time in nature, breath and know the symptoms will settle and you will get through this. Maybe learn triggers for future and be kind kind to yourself.

There are many parameters of health here are a few helpful ones to know and remember weight is just one of many often we get too focused on this number let’s zoom out and see the big picture.
Some good numbers to know : check ins
- lipid profile - When we do a lipid profile we are looking at -
- Total cholesterol and want it to be less than 200 mg/dl
- LDL (low density lipoprotein, or bad lousy cholesterol) as this contributes to a build up of plaques in the arteries. It should be less than < 100 mg/dl
- HDL (high density lipoprotein), considered good cholesterol aim for > 60 mg/dl
- We also measure Triglycerides another type of fat and should be less than < 150 mg/dl
- Blood pressure - Less than 120 systolic pressure AND Less than 80 diastolic pressure
- Muscle mass
- Mental health - are you feeling grounded
- Resting heart rate - A normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute. Generally a lower rate reflects better cardiovascular fitness
- How often have you been in nature lately? - this helps us feel calm and also sunlight helps set our circadian rhythm and sleep well
- What new nourishing recipes have you cooked and enjoyed recently!

Take short spells alone, to collect yourself and find calm. Taking care of your mental health is as important as eating fruits and vegetables The key is finding self care practices that refresh and renew you to have energy to cook and be more present with loved ones.
YOU matter.
