The external demands that cause you to feel stressed and the internal sensations you experience when you’re stressed are different!
*
Resolving one does not resolve the other. What differences do you notice when you reflect on this?
*
Focusing on the process of becoming is more inspiring and encouraging than fixated on the state of being. 😌
*
This is the epitome of the growth vs fixed mindset. Success and mindfulness are both achieved by focusing your attention on the process, not just the end goal. 🤔
*
Focusing on yourself and solutions to your own problems is not selfish. It is necessary for growth and to continue helping others! Don’t get distracted by the other cars. 😉
*
Take some time to reflect and introspect on your personal healing journey. Remember, healing is not linear!
*
What has your journey looked like?

Maintaining Lifestyle Changes Post-Pandemic — Mindful Perceptions COVID-19 disrupted everyday life, changing how we learned, worked, relaxed, and interacted with friends and family. Some adaptations should be quickly abandoned when the pandemic finally ends, but others can continue to prove beneficial in your life as the world moves forward. Mindful Perceptions
While we cannot control what we inherit, we can take the initiative to heal the wounds passed down through generations.
*
Do you see these patterns in your own family?
*
Sometimes, we have difficult conversations with those we love in hopes of deepening understanding and healing wounds.
*
Our bodies and minds are often stuck repeating maladaptive patterns from the past, or pulled into the uncertainty of the future.
*
Sound familiar? 🤔
*
It’s a horrifying truth. People with severe mental illnesses often end up homeless or in jails and prisons, overmedicated with minimal social support.
Take a minute to reflect on this new insight. Which do you need most today? 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏽♂️🧘🏾♀️
We can only truly be in this moment. Depression is rooted in the past and anxiety pulls us into the future. Create a habit of mindfulness to ground you to the present. ✨
Learn to listen to your intuition as a sign from the universe that you are on your path, or that it’s time to change your course. 🌌
I believe we each receive signs from the universe that we are on our path, if only we are open to receiving them. 🌌
Memories are subjective. Truth is relative. Our experiences are not. 💖

What are your thoughts?
We often know the “truth” yet live in denial. What are your thoughts?
The next time you experience a strong emotion, notice what happens. Do you allow that energy to pass through your body or is your automatic response to bury it deep down and mask the feeling instead?
Our bodies are wired for connection, yet trauma rewires them for protection. Being vulnerable with others is essential for healthy relationships! Prioritize healing your wounds today.
Do you struggle with motivation or discipline? What’s an area you’d like to have more self-discipline in this week?
In most situations, we have the choice to keep going, change directions, or stop trying. You get to decide.
Try this tip to transition from mind-full to mindful today 😉
Emotions are important messages from the brain. They can be a call to action or cause a reaction. They can also trigger past experiences and impulsive behavior. It is most helpful to increase your awareness of them, identify them, then learn to respond instead of react.

We often say “I feel guilty for …” yet what we really feel is ashamed. Shame is toxic and heavy. It is stored deep within us, fuel for our negative core beliefs.
*
*
*
We make mistakes. Our actions and choices are not always a reflection of our self-worth! Reflect on what you believe to be true about yourself and begin making this shift today.
*
*
*
Did you know that you don’t have to choose just one feeling you’re experiencing? Let’s discuss.

One of the hardest parts of my job is feeling helpless in assisting someone whose basic needs are unmet.
