Hey everyone! 🌟 Happy Wednesday! We’ve hit the midweek mark, affectionately known as Hump Day. It’s that perfect time to pause, reflect, and plan how we’ll tackle the remaining days with gusto. Here are some quick strategies to help manage stress and boost your productivity for the rest of the week:
1. Prioritize & Organize
• Break It Down: List out what needs to get done and prioritize these tasks. Tackling them in order of importance can help reduce the overwhelm.
• Set Realistic Goals: Keep your daily goals achievable. Completing them will give you a sense of accomplishment and motivate you to keep moving forward.
2. Take Intentional Breaks
• Step Away: Every few hours, step away from your work. A short walk, some light stretching, or a quick meditation session can recharge your batteries.
• Nourish Yourself: Don’t work through lunch. Taking a meal break is a great opportunity to relax and refuel both your body and mind.
3. Stay Connected
• Reach Out: Midweek is a great time to check in with a coworker, friend, or loved one. A quick chat can be a fantastic stress reliever and mood booster.
4. Reflect & Adjust
• Reflect on Progress: Take a few minutes to reflect on what you’ve accomplished so far this week. Celebrating small wins helps maintain a positive outlook.
• Adjust as Needed: If you’re behind on something, rearrange your priorities. Flexibility can reduce stress levels significantly.
5. Mindfulness and Mindset
• Stay Present: Keep your focus on the present moment. This reduces anxiety about the future and can improve your efficiency.
• Positive Affirmations: Remind yourself of your capabilities with positive affirmations. Self-encouragement goes a long way in managing stress.
Let’s use this Hump Day to reset and gear up for a successful second half of the week! You’ve got this! 💪
Feel free to share your own midweek strategies or how you personalize these tips to fit your routine! Let’s help each other climb over the hump and glide towards the weekend. 🚀✨

Helping kids with selective mutism find their voice:
It is extremely debilitating for a child with selective mutism to have to go to school every day and interact with peers. When they’re unable to speak, they not only are missing opportunities to connect with others, but they’re unable to meet important milestones and ask for help when necessary.
There are excellent evidence-based treatments available for children with selective mutism, though.
This involves a robust behavioral intervention program that helps children learn skills to face people, places, and situations where they were previously nonverbal.
The goals include increasing verbalizations in helping kids flex brave muscles so they can talk in a variety of settings.
Good treatment should involve parents and should teach them the same skills so that they can best support their children when they’re not in session.
This involves helping parents develop skills to help children brave talk in situations like school, at the ice cream store or the library.

Stress is like that unwelcome guest at a party who just won’t leave. It sneaks up on us during busy days, long nights, or even in moments of uncertainty. The trick is not to let it take the wheel. Stress management is key, and it’s about finding those strategies that resonate with you, whether it’s deep breathing, mindfulness, exercise, or something as simple as a good laugh with friends.
Enter therapy, a powerhouse for tackling stress head-on. Therapy isn’t just about talking; it’s about discovering tools and techniques to manage stress effectively. It offers a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, understand the root causes of your stress, and develop strategies that work uniquely for you. Beyond stress management, therapy can lead to profound personal growth, improved relationships, and a deeper understanding of yourself.
