It's been two weeks since we piloted in Alexandra township in Johannesburg and we've made amazing progress. We may not have white beards, fat bellies or carry any presents but this festive season we give the gift of SAFETY where it is needed the most . . .

This demonstration is a means to show how we can prevent a complex problem with a simple solution. A structure will completely burn out in under 3 minutes. Preventing fire from spreading to neighboring homes during this time is imperative - and possible.

Today team Nedbank and showed how working together we can achieve so much more. Bringing to life in Paarl.

Thank you Ranyaka Community Transformation for including the. Khusela Ikhaya Project.

We have been overwhelmed by the response to a donations page started by a family member and would like to thank each and everyone who reacted, for their donation to this cause. It is heartwarming to know people from abroad care. This has shown once again how much we can achieve by standing together to fight social ills. Every donation helps us reach closer to our target to paint every informal settlement home here in South Africa. Maybe one day we will look to other countries who deal with this same problem. One Home painted is one less likely to succumb to fire. Thank you

The Khusela Ikhaya Project team would like to wish all our supporters, funders and corporate sponsors a blessed festive season. Thank you for helping to raise awareness and give voice to this cause. Together we have built momentum and protected more than 1100 homes and 30 ECD centres with fire retardant paint, fed more than 1500 children (for half the year) and handed out toys, educational books and shoes to hundreds more.
