It's been a busy, busy morning! Dancing, the memory game, the river-bank game, a fun craft and of course, their all time favourite, the ball game! Thank you to Megan and team from One Day Only for visiting us today! We love having you!

Sydney currently has 89 caps for the Pinelands High School 1st Girls Hockey Team! We are so proud of you Sydney!

Camp Sonshine South Africa, Day 2! It’s a hot day today, but we’ve found a bit of shade and having lots of fun! ☀️

This year is our TWENTIETH year of Camp Sonshine South Africa! Day 1! Fun in the Sonshine meeting old and new faces from around the globe. Special people coming to spend time with the children of Maitland Garden Village!

Thanks to Megan and team from One Day Only, we had great fun playing Bingo and making snow globes!

We are so crazy proud of this girl! She gets up every day with a positive attitude, a smile on her face, and a determination to give her best effort! She set out a study plan, stuck to it and in her words: “It looks like my hard work paid off!” Congratulations Laeticia on a great year in the classroom and on the sports field, we’re SUPER proud of you!

We are SO incredibly proud of Sydney who has been named as a prefect at her school for 2024. Sydney participates in so many areas of school life and gives 100% effort in all of it. This is incredibly well deserved, her school is lucky to have her as a leader! Sydney, we could not be prouder! CONGRATULATIONS!

I just love how much joy playing sport brings her. She loves playing matches and always gives huge effort! I love hearing her post match stories and the excitement with which she tells them. She might be the smallest on on her team, but I’m pretty sure that she’s the toughest! We’re so proud of you Laeticia!

Thank you so very much to the Micklefield School Grade 6 class who so generously donated brand new stationery packs to the Camp Sonshine Africa children! These are so appreciated, especially as exams approach. The children were so surprised and grateful! Thank you for your kindness!

We recycled old cards to make new cards to celebrate our mothers, grandmothers and significant adults in our lives. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there 💕

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our Sonshine scholar, Sydney who has been selected to represent Western Province U18 zonal hockey! 🏑🏑 We are VERY proud of you Sydney. We know that you've worked extremely hard for this, it does not just happen. We are so proud of the dedication you have toward this fantastic game! All the best for your upcoming tournament.

We are so proud of this Sonshine Scholar. She is so dedicated to her school work and to her sport, always putting in 100% effort! Well done Laeticia!

You know it’s been a good day when you come home looking this dirty! Oh to be 3 again and not have to worry about doing the washing!

Camp Sonshine, South Africa, Day 5. HUGE thanks to these incredible volunteers who have given so freely of their time and endless energy to make this past week so much fun for these children. It’s been HOT, dusty, a little windy, but all I have seen is smiles, hugs, laughter and love! You are a special group of humans! THANK YOU!

Another great day in the sun! The children were so excited to see the staff return this morning! We are so grateful for the time and energy they put in to expanding time with them.

It’s great to have local staff and teen helpers here too!

Camp Sonshine, South Africa day camp, day 1! Lots of fun in the hot African sun! We are so grateful to the team who has come from around tnt world to spend time with the children in Garden Village!

Camp Sonshine is back! 🌞 January 10th-14th at the Garden Village Playground from 10AM-12PM and then from 2PM to 4PM. All children welcome! 😄
