๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒŸ Exciting News from Zobuntu Foundation! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ“š

This past Saturday, June 22, 2024, we had an incredible time at the Mkhulu Community Garden in Delft, where we met and recruited amazing students to join our Zobuntu Kids Clubs! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŽ‰

We are thrilled to welcome our new cohort of applicants, whose parents are just as excited as we are. Our clubs cater to kids aged 3 to 7, 8 to 12, and 13 to 18, ensuring age-appropriate activities and learning experiences for everyone.

Not only did our officially recruited members have a blast, but other community children also joined in the fun and participated in our engaging HabitudesTM lesson called the Discipline Bridge. This interactive lesson used imagery and videos to teach the kids about discipline, overcoming challenges, and triumphing in life. It was heartwarming to see all the kids, regardless of age, understand and enjoy the content.

We also provided a nutritious meal and refreshments, making the day even more special. Plus, we handed out more Zobuntu Kids Clubs application forms to eager children and parents who are inspired by our mission.

Seeing the excitement and joy on our new students' faces was priceless. Our facilitators loved getting to know these bright young minds who will now be lifelong members of the Zobuntu Kids Clubs. We are committed to nurturing them every step of the way toward their university graduation.

We look forward to teaching our Kids Club members about the Sustainable Development Goals and how they are leaders in their own right to solve South Africa's slow pace at achieving these goals. Even children in poverty can adjust their trajectory to a brighter and more sustainable South Africa. We are excited to show them career options to broaden their horizons.

Welcome to the Zobuntu family! ๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŒฑ What are Zobuntu Kids Clubs?
Zobuntu Kids Clubs provide holistic support to children from early childhood through to young adulthood, helping them excel academically, develop essential life skills, and become future leaders.

Zobuntu Kids Clubs cater to children and youth at different stages of their educational and developmental journey through age-specific programs:

Sprouting Leaders (Ages 3-7): Designed for early childhood, focusing on foundational learning through interactive play, storytelling, and educational games. Emphasis is placed on developing basic literacy and numeracy skills, nurturing curiosity, and introducing simple concepts of community and environmental awareness.

Budding Leaders (Ages 8-13): Geared towards middle childhood and early adolescence, this club expands on foundational skills with more structured activities. It includes deeper engagement in academic support, career exploration through interactive sessions and field trips, and the development of essential life skills and leadership qualities. The Habitudesโ„ข Curriculum is tailored to this age group to impart values and principles crucial for personal growth and community engagement.

Future Leaders (Ages 14-18): Tailored for teenagers transitioning into young adulthood, focusing on advanced life skills, career readiness, and leadership development. Activities include mentorship programs, career guidance sessions, and opportunities for youth to engage in impactful community service projects aligned with South Africa's Sustainable Development Goals. The goal is to empower them to become proactive, socially responsible leaders capable of shaping sustainable and equitable futures.

Each age-specific program within Zobuntu Kids Clubs ensures that participants receive tailored support and opportunities relevant to their developmental stage, preparing them holistically for future academic, professional, and personal success.

While we seem quiet, much is going on in the background as we prepare Zobuntu Foundation to take the world by storm in 2024!

So far, we have opened a bank account and are in the process of applying for PBO and Section 18A status with SARS. We are securing partners in the meantime so we can hit the ground running in 2024. Our partnership with Growing Leaders continues and they have been very happy with our last report.

We will keep you updated as we go. ๐Ÿ˜
