Meet the Special Guest: Noluthando Yeni

Noluthando is an award-winning expert in renewable energy and project finance. She began her finance career as an international investment banker specialising in project finance solutions for Sub-Saharan Africa. Her passion for infrastructure development led her to join a commercial development finance institution (DFI), focusing on impactful projects outside South Africa. She then gained experience in South Africa’s asset management sector, managing investments in SOEs, municipalities, and key state institutions. This experience guided her to specialize in renewable energy, where she now works as a project finance specialist for one of South Africa’s largest renewable energy IPPs, driving investments to address the country’s energy security crisis.

Wendy Selebi is a distinguished figure in the realms of finance, fintech, and investment. As the director of Seeds to Forests Training and Coaching Services, Wendy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as a dynamic speaker, mentor, coach, and facilitator. She is the host of the popular financial education podcast, “Let’s Talk Money with Wendy Selebi,” on YouTube, where she shares invaluable insights into money beliefs, budgeting, and investing.

Meet the Panelist: Maseabi Marageni

Maseabi Marageni is the Head of Business Development at Futuregrowth Asset Management. With over 20 years in financial services, she has driven the firm’s assets under management from 192 billion to 202 billion, showcasing her prowess in client acquisition and relationship management.

Maseabi holds an MSc in Finance, BCom Hons in Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management, BSc in Property Studies, IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Professional Certificate, and a Coaching Certificate from UCT GSB. She specializes in responsible investing and women’s leadership advancement. A passionate advocate for responsible investing, Maseabi guides pension funds toward opportunities in infrastructure, private equity, and venture capital. She is a sought-after speaker
on pension funds, impactinvesting, DE&I, and women's empowerment.

Maseabi co-leads the YLC Board Leadership Committee, empowering over 400 women through the Veblen Directors' Programme, and serves as Deputy General Secretary of ABSIP. Beyond her success, she is a dedicated wife, mother of three, and an intercessor at her church.

Meet the Panelist: Pooja Tanna

Pooja Tanna brings over 19 years of experience in the investment industry. Starting her career as a graduate at Nedbank Capital in 2005, she spent 12 years as a senior trader specializing in interest rate derivatives. Following this, she led the Fixed Income Trading Team for South Africa at Standard Chartered Bank for 2.5 years. Since June 2019, Pooja has been with the Customised Solutions team at Old Mutual Investment Group, where she oversees hedge fund strategies, cash-enhanced products, and equity derivative strategies.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Statistics and a BSc in Financial Mathematics. Pooja joined Perpetua as PM and Head of Fixed Income, where she is responsible for all fixed income products within the FI capability and all fixed income assets within the multi-asset class funds.

This Women's Month, we highlight Munouwarrah Abdurahman , a third-year Bachelor of Business Administration student at TSIBA Business School. As an Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellow and co-founder of 'TSIBA Earth,' she exemplifies leadership and commitment.

In 2023, she became Chairperson of the TSIBA Student Representative Council and serves as a UN PRME Global Student Regional Leader in Africa. Munouwarrah volunteers with NGOs like Islamic Relief and Timeless Care 4 Seniors, reflecting her dedication to social impact.

Her vision is to reshape the status quo and ensure no community is left behind. With her passion for collective action, she is working towards a brighter, more equitable future for all.

On July 18th, the TSIBA community came together to celebrate Mandela Day with enthusiasm and dedication. We brightened up the campus by painting fire hydrants and marked areas, refreshed outdoor benches with varnish, and made our garden greener by moving garden boxes and pot plants.
