OUTREACH UPDATE:

The Aslan-hope in sport mission week day 2 was a huge success. Over 200 kids from Khayelitsha took part in this amazing event which included modified hockey, Soccer 5's and Chess.

The main objectives of this event:

♥️To Spread LOVE and raise awareness of GBV and empower young people in a manner that will uplift communities/schools/homes in a positive manner.

♥️To Spread LOVE and develop meaningful relationships in the communities in which we work, especially with the young people.

♥️To Spread LOVE and use sport as a tool to inspire/give & extend hope, build character, live healthy and fit lives.

♥️To Spread LOVE and raise awareness and encourage boys and men to bring an end to GBV by spreading love appropriately.

♥️To Spread LOVE and partner alongside the community, vendors and together in practical ways to initiate positive change in the community that will leave a lasting legacy that extends, inspires and gives hope to all people.

We at Aslan decided to go ahead with our annual Mission Week Themed – “Ignited Love” Seize Love, Spread Love... - Dated from the 28th November to 3rd December 2022. We will be completing a range of planned sports outreach programs (feeding schemes, motivational talks, GBV focus, men’s/boys initiatives, clean ups etc) in the communities we currently serve right now and other communities such as Delft, Athlone & Khayelitsha. As we desire to Seize Love and Spread Love during this week we are reminded of the importance of giving back, extending hope and inspiring the next generation not to give up on their hopes and dreams. And that there is hope even when circumstances seems hopeless – there is always hope and an opportunity to shine a light or to lighten up someone’s day and put a smile on their face. Here at Aslan, we strive for and believe that “what’s best for others is what’s best” and therefore do what we can where we are, with what we have.

🚨🚨🚨🚨THE OPPORTUNITY 🚨🚨🚨🚨

This six-month, full-time On-line Programme is offered out of the Johannesburg Business School, a Faculty of the University of Johannesburg. The vision of the Programme is to inspire and empower young people to become economically active and responsible citizens. Upon completion of the Programme students may decide to further their studies, find a job and/or start a new venture with guided support received from the Programme.

The Academy is merit-based. 60 - 140 students are selected Annually to participate in the Programme.

WHAT YOU GET:

Entrepreneurship Training:
• The Programme consists of units in business and personal development. These include:
 Entrepreneurship, innovation, business idea development and testing
 HR, marketing, management, strategy, accounting and operations
 Business numeracy and literacy
 Workshops on time management, presentation skills, career readiness and professionalism
 Mental Health and Resilience
 Entrepreneurship 101
 Technology, 4IR, Social Media
 Pitching and Business Plan methods

Full Programme Tuition Scholarship:
• The tuition fee of R35 000.00 is paid by the Raymond Ackerman Foundation.

Student Subsidy:
• Data and Devices (against a needs assessment)
• The Raymond Ackerman Foundation provides successful and qualifying students with 100% bursaries
• For those participating actively in the Programme,
investments would be granted as per minimum requirements met on well
communicated deadlines.

University of Johannesburg Qualification:
• You get a Raymond Ackerman Academy of Entrepreneurial Development (UJ Short Learning Program
Certificate).

Development Support:
• Development support through individual and group consultation sessions, entrepreneurial immersions (Workshops and Field Trips) and guest speaker engagements.

Raymond Ackerman Academy Mentorship Programme (RAAMP):
• Opportunity to compete for the fully sponsored RAAMP 12-month business mentorship Programme that will provide consistent support thorough 23 activities during the year, with both financial and non-financial support.

WHO YOU ARE

• Are at least 18 years and at most 35 years by the application closing date.
• Reside in South Africa or SADC.
• Are available full-time for 6 months.
• Have a business idea or be in business.
• Have passed matric with a matric certificate.
• Passionate about entrepreneurship and personal development.
• Are willing to work towards generating your commitment fee of R2,500 via the various opportunities offered in the Programme, including an offset of investments earned in the Programme
