IFP EXTENDS BEST WISHES FOR NETBALL WORLD CUP 2023 βΉοΈββοΈππΏπ¦
For the first time in its 60-year history, the Netball World Cup will be hosted in Africa, with South Africa as the host country. The event runs from Friday, 28 July, until Sunday, 6 August.
The Inkatha Freedom Party - IFP would like to extend its best wishes to all those involved: the players, the coaches, the officials, the support staff, as well as the host city of Cape Town.
The Netball World Cup provides a wonderful opportunity for South Africa to showcase not only its sporting talent, but also to attract new visitors from all over the world as they come to support their favourite teams, creating a welcome boost in tourist numbers, and for the South African economy.
South Africa has featured in the top three twice during the tournamentβs history, and we are hopeful that the Proteas, who are currently ranked 5th in the world, will take home the trophy in 2023!
Sport has the ability to unite South Africans, as we have seen with the 1995 Rugby World Cup and the 2010 Soccer World Cup. We are hopeful that the Netball World Cup 2023 will also bring South Africans of all walks of life together, to support and cheer on our Proteas!
