Happy healthy smiles starts with good habits! This dental health week let’s commit to keeping our teeth and gums healthy. Remember to brush, floss and visit your dentist regularly 🪥 🪥

Brushing your teeth every day is an important part of keeping your teeth, mouth and whole body healthy. The Australian Dental Associationrecommends brushing two times every day, for 2 minutes each time.

What do I use?
* A manual or electric toothbrush
* A brush with soft bristles
* Fluoride toothpaste

We are looking for Casual and/or Part Time employees to fill roles as Sterilisation Assistants. This is a key role within the clinical area of our practice and will see you working closely with our orthodontists and clinical team, based at our Bundoora practice. Hours can be flexible, with shifts typically ranging between 4hrs and 8 hrs, during our practice hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We provide all training – on the job, and we offer a generous remuneration package and a very supportive work environment. ❖ Ability to work in a fast-paced and very busy environment;
❖ Willingness to join a fun, hard-working and exciting team.

It’s Grand Final week here at Smile Council Orthodontics. On Thursday 28th September our staff will be dressed in footy colours and we welcome our patients, family and friends to also come dressed in their footy colours. ⚫️⚪️vs🟤🔵🟡

Smile council orthodontics would like to give a warm welcome to Dr.Mohammed Basheti (Mo for short). We spoke with Mo this week about a few fun facts he would like to share with you all:

What is the funniest thing that happened during work?
I had a patient once hiccup and burp at the same time. I have never heard such a noise in my life. We all paused with fear, then started laughing.

What languages do you speak?
I can speak both English and Arabic.

What is your favourite vegetable?
Ummmmm, I don’t like all vegetables equally. Jokes aside, I’d probably go with potatoes. Love me some hot fries (not very healthy, I know)

What is your family like?
I come from a big family, and I am the eldest, so I am naturally a big brother. That’s why I find it easy to get along with all my patients.

Do you have any pets?
I’ve had an array of pets growing up; Cats, rabbits, birds, hamsters, a walking fish and even hermit crabs. Don’t have any pets now but I am contemplating getting a parrot. Thank you Mo, we are so glad to have you as part of the SCO family and can’t wait to see all your lovely patients and their new smiles!
