Our friends and charity partner of Run the Tan, Amber's White Light (AWL), are running a silent auction for 3 x signed AFL Footy Memorabilia to raise funds to support research into complex youth mental health.
(1) Pair of football boots worn and signed by Melbourne Football Club star Jack Viney (2012);
(2) Collingwood Football Club guernsey signed by Collingwood Captain, Darcy Moore (2013); and

Run The TAN
History
When you visit Melbourne it is a must that you either walk, jog or run Melbourne's iconic 'Tan Track' around the beautiful Botanic Gardens.
Locals refer to it as the TAN, but it is officially called the ‘Tan Track’. There is various folk-law regarding the origin of the TAN name. Some say it is because of its surface of tan coloured stone aggregate or, the track is around the Botanic gardens or, it once was once covered by tan bark.
Regarded as Melbourne's most popular running route, The Tan is suitable for runners of all abilities with a gravel track except for the bitumen footpath along Anderson Street hill.
The Tan was originally constructed in the early 1900's as a tanbark horse-riding track but today is one of Melbourne's most frequented locations. Locals, visitors and famous people alike now share the space as its international reputation has grown.
Tan Track
A lap of the Tan is 3.827km and has distance markers every 250m. The official start point of the clockwise lap is at the Pillars of Wisdom near the junction of Olympic Boulevard and Alexandra Avenue (opposite bridge).
