World Vision Australia is giving schools participating in the 2023 40 Hour Famine the chance to win a school trip for two teachers and six students. The winning school’s representatives will have the opportunity to see World Vision’s work in Cambodia in March 2024.
Yep, you read right, Cambodia! And this could be you! Your school! Your friends! 🥳🤗
To be eligible, your school must raise at least $3,000 and have at least 10 registered students for the Campaign that each actively fundraise.

Waverley Christian College challenged themselves with some all-out physical activities (and a lot of 😂) to help them raise funds to fight child hunger.
At their 40 Hour Famine challenge event, they set up four stations, got into teams, and competed in a variety of games for points. The team that scored the most points, received an additional $100 contribution towards their 2023 fundraising goal. So, we’re sending a big congratulations from our 40 Hour Famine team to all the participants.

It may seem like the world has recovered from COVID-19 with people travelling and holidaying everywhere - but over the last three years, the hunger crisis has escalated into a global crisis. 🌎
In 2023, 345 million people are experiencing acute food insecurity, a continuous rise from previous years. The reasons are complex: ongoing conflicts, like the war in Ukraine, climate shocks including long-term droughts in countries including Africa and more displaced people in the world.
The hunger crisis is a children’s crisis, with millions of children around the world not knowing whether their next meal will be today, tomorrow or 3 days away.
But you can help.
