This week we celebrate Refugee Week!
The theme for this year is βFinding Freedomβ, with a focus on families β parents, relatives, and chosen families that give support and and a sense of belonging to refugees.
Here's a family photo of Ana Paula's, a staff member who herself is a grandchild of refugees. She shares what freedom and family mean to her:
"Freedom to a grandchild of refugees who had to flee Armenia due to the genocide means acknowledging all they left behind and valuing the new life they built in another country, Brazil, which made possible for me a life that my grandparents only dreamed of."
