Congratulations to all teams from the Carlton Learning Precinct for being recognised by the 2023 Victorian Early Years Awards (VEYA) for their collaborative work in Continuity of Early Learning. A true team effort by site partners and the Carlton community. 🤝👏
Our Place is excited to announce that the Our Place Carlton Learning Precinct has been recognised as a finalist in the Victorian Early Years Awards 2023 in the category of ‘Continuity Of Learning’.
This achievement is testament to the hard work of our valued partners across the Precinct, including Carlton Primary School, Gowrie Victoria, City of Melbourne, Department of Education and Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, as well as relationships with the local community.

Congratulations to June McLoughlin AM, who received a Member of the Order for significant service to child advocacy and early learning in The King’s Birthday 2023 Honours List.
The Our Place approach is the culmination of June’s experience and expertise developed over a career in policy and service development, research and practice in early childhood and family support.
In addition to her current work at Our Place, June has shared her expertise as a board member at Goodstart Early Learning, Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and Early Learning Association Australia.
Our Place is delighted to see June receive this recognition.

A strong focus on sustainability has led to a transformation of the outdoor area at Gowrie Victoria Carlton Learning Precinct.
The early learning service, which has only been operating for about three years, is working to create a natural haven that inspires curiosity, imagination, and an awareness of our impact on the environment.
